Our Staff has given considerable time and commitment to create this document to share with you.
Everyone at GPS has one common aim and that is to give each and every player the best possible chance of play-ing at the highest level of soccer they desire. The purpose of this brochure is to provide an insight (to existing GPSplayers and families, as well as those deciding whether GPS is for you) to the structure and organization of GPS.
To be successful, every GPS player must give 100% at every practice and game that they participate in.Every GPS player must show dedication to their soccer education whilst ensuring their academic education doesnot suffer. For you to personally achieve your goals you must make sacrices but it is of paramount importancethat academic development is not neglected.
We ask our players to practice whenever possible as each extra touch of the ball will make a difference. Repeti-tion of key techniques is vital to your improvement and this does not alter with age. If you work hard, GPS willdo all we can to give you the tools to reach your personal goals. Very little in life is achieved without hard work, sacrice and perseverance - no matter how difcult the task may seem.
Our players must understand the GPS philosophy and the reasons why we endeavor to play with the style that we do. We have an identity that has taken a number
of years to develop and we are proud to be respected for the way we play. We must always show respect in defeat as well as in victory and any such victory must beachieved by playing the GPS way.
All GPS players are expected to respect their colleagues, opponents, ofcials, coaches and most of all themselves. Most importantly, play and train with enjoyment andintensity.
There are always difcult decisions to be made in soccer and we will do all we can to make the correct one for each individual within our Club. No matter what theoutcome may be, we want every player to remember their time at GPS with fondness and a sense of pride that they have represented us.
May I take this opportunity of thanking you and your families for the support which you have given to GPS. I wish every single player the very best of luck in achievingtheir goals.
Best wishesPeter Bradley, GPS Director of Coaching

The GPS Junior Premier program is the rst of two distinctphases of any GPS players development pathway. The rst phase is for players aged between 9 & 12 yearsold and is split into three levels based on player ability
Elite, Select and Academy.
It is important to remember that our emphasis is player-centric with playerdevelopment the number one priority. At this stage, there is no emphasis on winning games. We focus ondeveloping the technical, tactical, physical and psychological develop-ment of each individual player on their pathway towards reaching theirfull potential.
The GPS Junior Premier program is a very important part of a young
players development - the golden years of learning are between the agesof 5-11.It is vital that we look to develop and enhance the technical prociency ofall our players during these golden years. We also need to, as we progress through the ages, give the players thecorrect tactical information in terms of Team Shape, Working within Unitsin the Team Shape and Position Specic work (understanding roles andresponsibilities within the team).
All players in the GPS Junior Premier program will conduct themselves at
all times in accordance with the GPS Premier Team player code of conductand all players will be treated as equals.

The second phase is for players between 13 & 17years and is split into three levels - Elite, Select &Academy.
While player development is still paramount in thePremier program, this is the phase where the empha-sis transitions to competing to win.
At 13 to 15 years there is still a focus on developing players from atechnical, tactical, physical and psychological standpoint.
At 16 years and above, winning begins to play a larger role on game-day however the focus is not winning at all costs. All GPS teams willdemonstrate the desire and ability to win while sticking to the clubstyle of play - attractive, possession-based soccer.
The winning tradition that has been established over the past decadeis based on each player improving signicantly over the time they arewith the club.
All players in the GPS Premier program will conduct themselves at alltimes in accordance with the GPS Premier Team player code ofconduct and all players will be treated as equals.
