TOP 10 HIGHLIGHTS OF 2013Completed Carney Place (West Asheville) and Woodfin subdivisions

Began a 17-house subdivision in Swannanoa

Community raised $30,000 to help build the 30th Anniversary House and Blue Ridge X-Ray Company matched it dollar-for-dollar

Celebration of Circle of Faith, honoring our long-standing faith partners with a cul-de-sac of homes in our Swannanoa subdivision

ReStore Silent Auction surpassed the $500,000 mark (since its inception in 2005)

More than 2,100 volunteers contributed more than 60,000 hours of service!

The ReStore ranked 3rd in the nation in sales (out of 775+ ReStores)

362 volunteers came from outside our local counties; some for one day, many for multiple days or a week

Completed 32 NRI (Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative) projects including a new shed and raised beds at the Shiloh Community GardenHosted acclaimed architect and best-selling author of the Not So Big series, Sarah Susanka, who discussed how citizens can incorporate changes into their lives to create more dynamic and sustainable communities.
