By tearing out a wall and combining two rooms, a major transformation took place in this kitchen creating an extraordinary kitchen, separate bake/mix area, a bar and a pantry!

Island number one is a multi-purpose island serving as the cooking zone as well as a gathering space for friends to visit while the chef is preparing the meal and a place to pull out the iPad and look up your favorite recipes.

Island number two is the perfect place for a microwave drawer and is used as a prep area and staging area for food before it is served to family and friends.

Painted white Showplace Custom cabinets with a Concord Recessed panel door are featured in the main kitchen while cherry wood with chestnut stain on both islands and bar complements the rest of the home.

Our main goal was to expand access to the dining room and living room for more entertaining opportunities. We enlarged the kitchen by tearing out walls and the long hallway to the kitchen. We utilized thermafoil raised-panel Aristocraft cabinets, contrasting granite countertops, ceramic tile and glass backsplash, stainless steel appliances and new oak floors throughout the entire area. An additional serving buffet was added to the dining room. This remodel gives the house a functional yet elegant look for the entire family and friends to enjoy.

What a transformation! Maher Custom Homes has taken a typical multi-level and removed walls to make this fabulous open kitchen concept for the homeowner. The kitchen now boasts new maple cabinets with a mocha stain, a 10’ island and new maple wood floors. The beautiful granite countertops and glass tile backsplash add the finished touch to make this a stunning but functional kitchen for the family and all their entertaining needs. Jerry and Renee also helped with the clients’ need for a small office area that could be closed when not in use. By taking a small area and adding bi-fold doors, shelves and countertop, they have created the prefect “office” that is great for charging all their electronics, keeping track of appointments and a great drop zone that is easily concealed when that unexpected company arrives!

Taking the fresh look to the master bedroom and bathroom, Maher Custom Homes borrowed a small closet from the hall bath and made a large tiled shower with bench, new tiled floor and vanity. The cramped closet now has a face lift with new built-ins, additional storage for the TV and a unique design for storing shoes that doesn’t require crawling at the bottom of your closet!

We were able to accomplish this by removing a wall separating the two spaces and extending cabinets into the dining space with a hutch to match the cabinets. By utilizing the vaulted ceiling and the design of the cabinets we were able to create the open feeling they desired. Knotty pine cabinets and walls surrounded this outdated kitchen before, along with black and white checkerboard vinyl flooring and a full wall dividing the family room and kitchen. The homeowner’s first request was to knock out the wall dividing the family room and kitchen in order to create a more open space between the two areas. One of our biggest challenges while designing the new kitchen was the placement of the three existing windows. We utilized all of the available wall space and also built a large central island which holds a beverage center refrigerator, warming drawer, cook-top, plenty of counter space, and comfortable seating for four. The homeowners chose Dura Supreme Cherry cabinetry with a stain/accent glaze finish, granite countertops, and durable tile flooring. Also, check out the beautiful tile details in the bathroom and natural stone surrounding the family room fireplace. It’s all about the details in this striking new kitchen, bathroom and fireplace remodel, and once again the transformations are incredible!

This busy young family needed more function from their kitchen and wanted professional-grade appliances. They also dreamed of having another laundry room. The perfect solution was a two-story addition for expanding the kitchen and adding a second-floor laundry room.

A blend of new windows and recycled brick, as well as a vintage-looking exterior light fixture resulted in an addition that looks like it was always there.

Keen attention was given to every aspect of the interior design, including reusing a powder bath cabinet and laundry chute door original to the house. The new cabinets in the kitchen perform the many functions required by the owners, in timeless black and white.

The new sliding French patio door with prairie mullion inserts allowed for the addition of a custom seating bench and a table perfect for this family of three!

Showplace Shaker Style Cabinetry in oak with a heather stain complements the existing woodwork in the home.

The addition of a large pantry with rollout trays, a two-bin recycling center and rollout trays for pots and pans helpes to make this kitchen, “A Functional Dream to work in.”

Multi-colored tile backsplash with glass inserts gave this kitchen a touch of Frank Lloyd Wright Style!

Formica Mineral Jet countertop with an Oak ribbon edge complements the colors in the patterned tile floor.

Custom-stained glass door with blue glass accents and plate rack give the corner cabinet a distinctive look all its own!

Peek in and see the custom bookcase and daybed which was added to create a multi-functional room to be used for students who take music lessons in the owner’s home and for guests who are visiting.

In this home the husband is the main chef of the family. The island was designed to his specifications with a cook-top, prep sink and trash for chopping and food preparation. The wife tends to handle more of the salads, breads and baking of the sweet treats! Her area of the kitchen serves as the storage for the kitchen and is home to the oven, thus it provides everything she needs.

Two-toned Showplace Cabinetry in maple autumn and oak coffee stains complement the new bamboo carbonized floor in the living and dinning room areas.

Quartz Countertops in warm tones of brown, cream and copper accents make a WOW statement in this kitchen!

The work triangle provides adequate space for two cooks giving each a space separate to work with the refrigerator and microwave accessible to ALL!

Gus and Donna love to relax and enjoy the outdoors. They both wanted an enclosed patio that still has the outdoor feel. We created a beautiful screened in porch constructed out of cedar that we painted and incorporated to the house that makes it look like it was there from day one. From the inside the view is non-obstructed with a tight woven screen, but viewed from the outside incorporates some privacy. We created a vaulted ceiling to keep the open feel of the outdoors and installed two ceiling fans to give great circulation.

Straw colored 12” x 12” tile accented with a bamboo glass/stone tile laid in a diagonal pattern complements the simple style of this kitchen.

Wood floor was added to the dinning room and kitchen areas, which complements the existing living room wood floor and made the space, “Easy on the Eyes!”
