LOCAL MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

One of the ways WHEM reaches out to our local community

is through Education. Topics related to horse care/training

are discussed and demonstrated. Meetings are not only

open to members, but those in the community are

encouraged to participate as well.

We also have Ministry opportunities to assist local

organizations such as a children’s home, a therapeutic

riding facility and recently a Deaf church by donating

needed supplies/equipment, teaching basic horse

care/riding skills, assisting in benefit horse shows and

giving pony/cart rides at special events. We’ve also been

able to provide funds for families/organizations in need.

Lastly, we have opportunities for Outreach by hosting special

events. We’ve invited communities from across the state to

our Annual Statewide Trail Ride, a camping/riding weekend

filled with fun, fellowship, food, singing and worship. We’ve

also hosted Family Fun Days where the community can

participate in activities for all ages: face painting, door

prizes, special demonstrations and challenging games both

on and off the horse. We’ve also been able to open several

of our local horse shows with prayer and provide a brief

devotional as well as do a patriotic Drill Team presentation.

We can be available to speak at your church, school/home

school, 4-H, scout or horse club to share about EM

(avail in ASL). We may be able, by special arrangement, to

bring horses to your location for demonstrations. Since

this is a non-profit organization, any donations given to

WHEM will be used by the ministry for further outreach.
