ILVERTHORN MY GIRL has been on our show team for 11 years, and has brought great kudos to our Silverthorn Australian Stock Horse Stud during this period. As a led yearling SILVERTHORN MY GIRL won the Eastern

Branch Buckley Shield for yearlings, the New England Branch Supreme Led, and the Cumberland Branch Supreme Junior Champion. As a two year old under saddle she was winning Open Hack as well as 3yrs and Under Working classes.

SILVERTHORN MY GIRL has been campaigned with consistent success over the years in Led, Hack and Working classes and Challenges, including winning the Senior ASH Campdraft at the 2009 Sydney Royal and taking out Reserve Champion ASH Hack at the 2010 Sydney Royal.

2014 continues to see Ashley and SILVERTHORN MY GIRL in the winner’s circle. They have already been sashed Champions in Led, Hack and Working categories and at the ASHS National Show in March they took out Champion Hack Mare.

The byline for Silverthorn Stock Horses - “From the high country…to the main arena” means exactly that. Our horses are workhorses during the week and by week’s end are competition horses. SILVERTHORN MY GIRL is no exception and plays an important part in the running of our beef cattle property. She epitomises the versatility of the Australian Stock Horse. We believe her to be an outstanding mare and to be chosen as the 2013 Prince of Wales Trophy winner has completed a wonderful year!
