    NDER 16 WYNDHAMVALE V SPOTSWOOD

e were looking forward to playing Spotswood this week but unfortunately they had to give a walkover when they couldnt muster enoughayers. All was not lost though and we still managed to have a game thanks to Spotswood suggesting we have a scratch match. We lent themdifferent players each quarter so we could have 18 a side.

here were a few highlights during the game including Spotswood allowing Jacko to lead out their side at the start of the game, this causeduite a bit of mirth in the group as I was trying to talk to them on the ground. Other highlights included Huss cleaning up Stefan after he dis-osed of the ball, Sheldon throwing grass at Stefan who was having a shot on goal and giving away a 50 metre penalty and a certain goal.ut the two best highlights involved our ball magnet Rocket who had a towering mark taken over him by a Spotswood player using him as aepladder and then later in the game being run down and tackled by Carlos.

he game was played in the right spirit which I was very pleased with and we all had a bit of fun.

    hats all folks,

This week we played Williamstown at home with a very undermanned team. School holidays are always tough on our team as many fami-ies go away. With only 16 players to Williamstown 17, we were able to pinch little Dylan Marcon from the Under 10s to help us even uphe numbers. What a fantastic game you played mate, thankyou very much for stepping up and topping it off with a goal of your own. A

great game was also had by Ryan in the back line, we have never seen so many marks and kicks in one game keep it up mate. Tommy, ake S and Iziah on the ball also had a big day, with lots of run and fantastic kicks into the forward line. We stood up well to the challenge

and came home with the points. 3 goals to Arden in the forward line had us win by 19 points.Well done to all the boys and to our parent helpers.

Goals: Arden 3, Tommy 1, Jake S 1, Dylan 1 (under 10s)Best: Ryan, Arden, Tommy, Iziah, Jake S, James and Dylan

    Well done BoysCharlie

Although the scoreboard doesn't reflect it, the boys had a ripper of a game today. The first quarter was fantastic, everyone was putting in100%. We looked a bit tired in the second but we picked up halfway through and levelled the scores late in the quarter until NthFootscray popped another goal through. We scored more today than any other game this season, and we've had a tough season so far. We were unlucky not to have won today.Everyone busted their guts and should be proud of their efforts. You all had a go. Well done to Liam P who booted a goal and earnedhimself $50! Cam did a fantastic job, Coops had a great game, the back line were good all day. Trae played a fair game, Mawot wasgreat. I was rapt with today's efforts. You are a great bunch of kids, keep your heads held high boys.

    Goals: Coops 4, Liam P 1, Liam G 1, Rhys 1.

Best: (Everyone but I had to pick 6) Cam, Kallam, Deccy, Boog, Coops and Trae.

Score: Nth Footscray 12-16-88 def Wyndhamvale 8-10-58.

omens Wyndhamvale 9-6-60 def Jacana 2-4-16

way at Jacana , dry windy conditions for our contest this week. Jacana had first use of a very nice breeze scoring only aouple of goals. Our defence worked very well keeping the ball wide and continually clearing it with strong tackles and run-ng teamwork.he second quarter saw us open up the game scoring 4 goals and keeping them scoreless. The handball out of congestionbecoming second nature, this is continually creating space and time to have a better kick forward.

he structure of not overcrowding our forward 50 also allowed us better shots on goal.

he third quarter was very tight contested footy, Jacana were very intent on having at least 2-3 players at every contest, ere were not many chances to have a clear run at anything making this a pretty scrappy game.

ur fourth quarter stretched the lead out to 44 points also keeping them scoreless again. It was great to see and hear the

amwork and support around the ground.uge improvement on last week.

e must all continue to build on our fitness and skills in the next few weeks. Finals are not far away!!!!!

    NDER 10'S

his week we versed Peg's jnr's. We played them earlier in the year and we knew exactly what we were up against. So we de-

ded to use this game as a learning curve. Peg's under 10's team were 7 and 8 year olds and for once they asked us to borrowome players. Of course we did so, as week in and week out we have had to borrow players from other teams. They have onlycored 2 goals for the whole season and we knew we had to change that. There is nothing better then seeing your child andeir elation at kicking that red ball through the big sticks. So every quarter we lent them 2 players. First to go over was Cody

nd Brandan. I gave the kids that were going over to help out Peg's Jnr's a job. I told them to get the ball in their 50 and pass itf to one of the peg's players. They did exactly that. Kirra kicked the first goal of the game and her first goal of the year. I have

ever seen her dad, Darren who was the goal umpire, wave those white flags as vigorously as he did. Well done Kirra. Rileyso kicked his first goal for the season. Well done mate. In the second quarter Gunny and Dylan went over, and Dylan did as isked and that led to one of the pegs players kicking a goal. Both coach's went crazy!! Jemma came out firing in the seconduarter kicking 2 goals. Her first goals of the season. We knew you had it in you. Well done. In the 3rd quarter, Aaron and Shaksked if they could go play for the opposition. I have never been so proud. So off they went and Aaron did an amazing job atassing the ball to a Peg's player and he kicked a goal. Jemma kicked another goal, as well as Gunny and Dylan. In the 4thuarter, Jemma and Jordan went over to help Peg's out. I told the back line, to spread out completely and this allowed Pegs

ayers to get the ball down to their 50 and score another goal. Kirra wanted another goal, and she got it. Braiden, Zac andhak also added to the goal list.

ou are such a great bunch of kids and today proved that.

    est - Team effort.
