VOLUNTEERISM

When you volunteer at the Y, you take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood. Whether it’s once a week or once a year, there are so many ways to give your time, change lives and volunteer at the Y!

Volunteers enable the Y to offer affordable programs and services. They provide the caring attention a child needs to develop values like sportsmanship, compassion, and respect for self and others. They encourage positive behavior in teens and support families so they can be successful and strong. The selfless efforts of all volunteers foster healthier, more meaningful lives for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes. They inspire a cohesive and viable community, one that’s a good place to live and to work. By giving time, volunteers change lives and improve communities.

Become a part of our Y volunteer community. You can choose from over 100 different volunteer roles that can truly change a life: teach kids to swim, mentor a youth, inspire a child to learn to read, teach teamwork in a Y sport league, raise needed funds, provide administrative support or lead our Y as a policy volunteer

There are so many ways to give your time, give back, and support your neighbors. To learn more about Y volunteer roles, visit northshoreymca.org or contact Kim Lations, Y Volunteer Coordinator, at [email protected]

GIVING

did You Know...?The Greater Beverly YMCA is a charity. We are a non-profit organization focused on community and human services. 100% of your donation goes directly to those in need. Every dollar donated to our Y For All annual campaign is used to support local children, families and individuals through Y programs, membership and camp. Y For All is more than donors and dollars. Our annual campaign is a grassroots effort led by dozens of volunteers and businesses from our communities.

Y For All Annual CampaignThe Y is “For All”, regardless of someone’s ability to pay. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of income or background, has the chance to learn, grow and thrive.

Your gift to the “Y For All” Annual Campaign truly matters. One (1) out of every six (6) people in our Ys benefit from the generosity of our “Y For All” donors. Your gift matters to the Y as we strive to have a meaningful, enduring impact right here in our North Shore neighborhoods.
