Out of the Saltshaker …..…
and into our world!
n.- A colourless or white crystalline solid, chiefly sodium chloride,
used extensively in ground or granulated form as a food seasoning
and preservative. Also called common salt, table salt.
- An element that gives flavour or zest.
- Sharp lively wit.
adj.- Containing or filled with salt: a salt spray; salt tears.
- Having a salty taste or smell
- Preserved in salt or a salt solution
- Thirsty, hungry
• “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt
loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty
again? It is no longer good for anything, except
to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”
Matthew 5:13
• “You are the light of the world. A town built on a
hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a
lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it
on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the
house. In the same way, let your light shine
before others, that they may see your good
deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14-16

Safety
Stability
Hope
In 2012, Viva trained 13,500 child
development workers, directly
benefiting or influencing around
32-60 children each.
That's a lot of children!
What does Viva actually do?:
• training workers in Nepal who counsel girls
in the brothels.
•helping reintegrate children from Ugandan
orphanages back home into their families.
•strengthening the local churches in
Guatemala to prevent street children from
being trafficked as they arrive by bus
But who will give that safety,
stability and hope for others who
are vulnerable on our doorsteps
and across the world?
Together we have the power
to give children a caregiver
like Carmen.
