About Grand Slam

At Grand Slam we have one very simple goal: to be thebest at what we do. We strive to provide the best sportingequipment, the best service and the best value.

Grand Slams sports equipment is engineered for strengthand reliability. Our outdoor equipment is designed for eventhe most extreme conditions, and can be supplied for windareas rating from W33 to W50. Our indoor equipment isalso designed and built to meet the most rigourous safetyand quality standards.

Wherever possible we manufacture our products fromlong-lasting, highly durable galvanised steel, which is(where stated) powder-coated in high grade polyester to give years of maintenance-free use. Products that are manufactured from standard grade steel for outdooruse are, wherever possible, hot-dipped galvanised afterfabrication. These products can also be powder-coated or painted if desired to suit your needs.

Design and planning

Grand Slam liaise with engineers, architects and builders to ensure the proper selection of equipment. Grand Slamalso offer our professional services to design the mostcost-effective and efficient sporting equipment for yourfacility. When architectural drawings are supplied, GrandSlam can provide a computer design service, setting out in detail, court layouts, fixing points and correctpositioning of equipment.

Installation and service

Grand Slam equipment can be installed by qualifiedpersonnel, but we recommend that our experienced fitters either oversee or install our equipment to ensure that the correct operation and safety standards are met.Our installation service is available across Australia andoverseas.

Indoor basketball support beams

All of Grand Slams indoor and outdoorbasketball systems comply to allAustralian and international standards,are Australian designed and made, and are engineer certified.

All indoor models are made fromgalvanised steel then powder-coatedin-house for a durable, long-lastingfinish. Grand Slams professional,trained installers use fully load-ratedturnbuckles, dee-shackles and pulleyblocks when installing their qualityproducts.

Grand Slam basketball systems havebeen load tested to withstand 250,000cycles of up and down movement with a 240kg weight attached to thebackboard when load testing!

All ceiling mounted basketball systemsare fully adjustable. This allows them to be set at the exact playing heightrequired.

Backboards are also fully adjustable for exact vertical alignment whensetting up.

Grand Slams armour-plate glassbackboards are unique, as all linemarking is heat-etched onto thebackboard giving a lifetime finish.

This symbol signifies that the product is supplied in kit form for transportation.All components and fixings areincluded in the kit.

Beams can be fitted to run parallel to the face of the backboard (Beamsystem) or perpendicular the face ofthe backboard (Rail system).

Please consult Grand Slam fortechnical information regardingrecommended basketball beam sizesand placement. Grand Slam can alsodesign and install the appropriatesupport beams if required.

VBP105Floor socket volleyball system

This new model is designed to reducethe risk of injury due to its uniquespring-loaded, snap-lock, net heightadjusting system, which automaticallyengages at the required preset height.Posts can be set at four heights:2430mm, 2350mm, 2240mm and2150mm. When posts are being used in a combination configuration,each net height may be adjustedindependently for various age andgender groups.

All models are constructed from lightweight heavy duty materials designedto meet international standards. Main uprights are made from 50mm x 100mm SHS. The base of each postconverts to 50mm NB pipe to suit floorsockets IS100, IS110, IS120 andAC120. Posts are designed towithstand a net tension of 685N.
