SHARK The American International School of Rotterdam From the Interim Director and Elementary Principal I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you and your families a very Happy New Year! I am positive that 2012 will be a very successful, happy and healthy year for everyone. At AISR, we are looking forward to the new and exciting challenges that will come our way during this year. As you know, there are some changes in the Administration for the period January through June. As well as continuing my role as Elementary Principal, I will now also be the Interim Director for this period. Ms. Alison Lipp will continue her role as Curriculum Director, but will also assume the role of full-time Secondary Principal. Both of us are looking forward to serving our community in the best possible way. With regard to the weekly Shark, I will report as Interim Director and will also continue my Elementary Principalʼs message. Ms. Lipp will report as Secondary Principal. Report cards will be sent home at the latter part of next week. Also enclosed will be the “Returning Family” survey. We will soon be starting to take a look at staffing and budgeting for the new school year and it will help us immensely if we know whether your child will be returning to AISR. Thank you in advance for taking the time to do this. Please Note: A new communications policy and calendar for the remainder of the school year, will follow shortly. We welcomed the following new students and we wish them a happy and successful stay at AISR: Nadia - Grade 11 Ali - Grade 6 Darienne - Grade 5 Morgan - Grade 1 Darrien - Grade 1 Dates to remember: February 14 – 8:15 to 10:15 Coffee, Croissants and Curriculum: Elementary (with a special focus on mathematics). This is a change from the original date. Have a lovely weekend, Anne-Marie Blitz Alison Lipp [email protected] [email protected] 1/2 Bulletin... 14.01.12
