Welcome to season two of Bond. For those of you who came on board for our premiere season, we cannot thank you enough for your support. And for those just joining us, welcome. We hope you have as much

fun on the ride as we are having.

Bond finds its inspiration in many places. Finding just as much fun on a random trail curb cut, a cat trip, or even the ride to the mountain, we use all of these influences and experiences to help make the most

inspired, innovative and unique outerwear possible.

Bond utilizes a top down sustainability model in it’s operations, and is a carbon neutral company. We aren’t here to preach or set standards, we just feel there are certain ways that things should be done

these days and that’s how we do them.

Technical Features

Thumbderwear

Every piece of Bond outerwear and apparel that comes out of our doors has been pored overagain and again to make sure that we are doing all we can to make the most sustainable pieces possible.

All of our outer shells and inner liners utilize a blend of Recycled PET (made from plastic bottles and containers) , and virgin polyester that is completely recyclable. Both are materials that have been used before and can be used again for years to come.

We took this and looked at all other facets of outerwear. Snaps? Made from discarded plastic pellets from heavy industry. Zipper pulls and Buttons? Same deal. One man’s trash is another’s treasure, or at least another man’s cargo pocket snap.

WaterproofingAll of our waterproofing is engineered to be as environmentally friendly as it is durable. Ask yourself, how often do you wash your jacket? Probably not as much as you should. Our waterproof coatings are so long lasting that you can wash your jacket 10 times, and it will still be as waterproof as the day you got it.

InsulationOur shell series, light and versatile. You know, like a helper monkey

Keeps you warm by placing insulation only where you need it, around your core. Maximum warmth without sacrificing mobility.

Coconut Grove™ Wicking SystemThese discarded shells from the food industry provide a very active level of evaporative cooling and odor resistance that can be blended into a small amount of polyester to create a super functional inner lining. We will warn you though, you might wonder why you all of a sudden crave a Pina Colada rather than a Chili Bread Bowl at lunch.

Waste Management Pocket

THANK YOU

This water resistant lined pocket will take care of even the snottiest Kleenex, the chocolatiest candy wrapper, or even an exploded tube of sunscreen. Basically, anything that you really don’t want, please don’t throw it on the hill, put it in here. Also can be used as a normal storage pocket. Duh.

Guaranteed not to ride up, just to ride well. These handy little devils keep your jacket in place and snow out of your wrists. Unless you’re into that sort of thing...

Lycra Phantom

Goggle WipeThis is simple. A soft fabric patch on your Thumbderwear to wipe your goggles with when they fog up. Alternatively it can also be used to wipe your nose with, but we don’t recommend wiping your goggles after that. For nose wiping we would recommend the inside of a pocket or someone else’s scarf.

No ScuffRemember when baggy pants were in? Remember how they would cover your shoes, and the bottom cuff would get all torn up and sooner or later would look like the beaded doorway drape to the back section at the local liquor store? Was it cool? We don’t know, but we do remember. Our pants aren’t that baggy, but parking lots can have the same effect on the bottom cuff, so we added the No-scuff-pant-jack-up-system! Genius! We need a better name for it though.

Then it landed on 1994 and it was flannel. Then,1988, and…neon. Then it landed on timeless and we just decided to run with that.

Then he looked around and realized he and the smelly kid were the only ones in school with sweats on, and he never wore them again. The heather fabric on this pant is proof that you don’t always have to sacrifice fashion for function. And yes, that little boy was me.

Seems like kinda obvious points to have, but then again, our “Market Research” was done by talking to chicks at bars in Tijuana, and most of our resources were mainly used to pay off the Policia after a misunderstanding regarding some “horse tranquilizers” that found their way into our trunk.
