The WOW! MomentEye-catching photos that grab your attention or pique your curiosity are probably the most important aspect of any catalog like the one you’re holding right now. It’s safe to say that our photographers literally capture thousands of images in order to end up with the few hundred you see in this catalog. So, you might think that picking out the perfect picture for the cover would be easy. Not so.

There’s something special about a cover shot. Aside from featuring a new product, I think that the photograph on the cover also tells you something about the company and the solutions they provide. When Blake Sumrall (our amazing lead graphic designer) stopped me in the hall and asked my opinion on the geyser rocket car photo, it took less than a second for me to smile and yell, “YES!” The photograph captures what we call the “WOW! Moment” – a split second in time that reveals the emotions of surprise, wonder, accomplishment, amazement, and fun.

I’m lucky to have a brilliant photographer, Shawn Campbell, who can capture so much emotion in a single click of the shutter.
