Responsibilities
Maintain safety standards, follow safe work procedures and permits
Disassemble engine components
Clean parts and assess wear for re-use
Repair components as required
Assemble engine components following manufacturers procedures and specifications
Identifying and ordering parts required from manufactures manuals
Leading teams and supervising personal to achieve engine rebuilds within deadlines
Diagnose and rectify engine malfunctions
Test cooling, lubricating, fuel, intake, exhaust and low voltage electrical systems for leaks, restrictions, blockages, electrical component failure
Use computer based engine diagnostic and monitoring equipment
Interpret wiring and hydraulic diagrams
Operate engine dynamometer to assess engine power and torque output
Operate lathes milling machines radial arm drills and drill presses
Perform engineering measurements using micrometers, vernier callipers, bore gauges
Achievements
Supervised and worked as part of a team to complete engine rebuilds on multiple occasions within the repair time limits as a 4th year apprentice and qualified tradesman.

Successfully planned, lead and instructed a unit training course consisting of 6 students. The course involved 2 weeks in a field situation, in a remote area.
