Wild Bunch made me confident to build huts and climb trees safely. Also we get to know each other during the three days together and to make many friends. I learn life skills, how to survive in outdoors and do interesting activities e.g. learn about trees and flowers, name of birds, to make shelters. I want to go again because we learn how to survive in the outside world and we play fun games.

As well as establishing a beehive and
education shed, the award winning
community garden at Allens Cross
produced 185 kg of fresh food, worth
£1,039.34 and equivalent to 2,313
meals over the year.

A large part of the project’s success is due to the Ecocentre’s knowledge, enthusiasm and experience. They ensured that the project got off to a flying start from day one. It has proved to be a great success that is valued by local residents and users alike.
In 2018 we will:

reducing air pollution - burning calories - saving oil - getting fit - improving heart rates
I was sceptical as a rather over-weight & a relatively recently
diagnosed dyslexic with dyspraxic tendencies, 37 yr old, who had
never thought I would learn to ride a bike. With the tutorlidge of what
can only be described as a miracle worker with unending patience, I
was riding a bike!

2017WE ARE HERE TO HELP EVERYONE
We introduced regular Ride Active social cycling classes at Northfield Ecocentre over the year which proved a popular way to learn to ride and get into the habit of riding. We also delivered sessions in local parks in partnership with Birmingham Play Care Network as well as hosting a Halloween bike ride.
In 2018 we will launch our cycling classes for people with additional learning needs.
