Elmer Sachteleben is an experienced certified cost engineer (CCE) and a frequent speaker at industry events. Elmer holds an MSC in applied physics. After providing consultancy services to major companies, Elmer now leads the Cost Engineering Academy.

He applies his broad experience and enthusiasm to provide traineeships, develop courses and organize workshops in the field of project controls. He is also a teacher at the Dutch Association of Cost Engineers (DACE).

Elmer has provided consulting services in process assessment, development, and implementation to major multinational companies such as Shell, Unilever, Bayer, Cargill, CB&I, Mott MacDonald, Heineken, Vopak, Enbridge, Yara and OMV Petrom.

Prior to this role, Javier has been General Counsel for Europe, Africa and Middle East in former Gamesa Corporación Tecnológica, leading also the practice of an international team of lawyers with competence in different jurisdictions.

Eric Eggink is a lawyer and managing director of Technip Ships (Netherlands) B.V. who has spent his career involved in major infrastructure and development and private finance projects including Chek Lap Kok Airport, Hong Kong; the High Speed Rail Link Project between Amsterdam and Brussels; and the sports stadiums for Sporting Lisboa and FC Porto in Portugal. He is also a practicing arbitrator.

Eric was a member of the European International Contractors Legal Working Group and co-author of the ‘EIC Contractor’s guides to the FIDIC Conditions of Contract’ and the ‘EIC Blue Book on Sustainable Procurement’. He has also worked on a number of ICC model contracts, including the ICC Model Turnkey Contract for Major Projects, the ICC Model Subcontract and the ICC Model Contract Consortium Agreement.

He is Former Associate at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, practicing in the Construction, Engineering, Surety and Fidelity Group. His current role is Senior Legal Counsel for the Division Power Grids of Asean Brown Boveri (ABB) for United Arab Emirates and its regional oversight countries.

He has been in charge of leading Power Plant projects from 1995 until 2007. Projects has been mainly EPC contracts and customer segments varying from industrial customer to Utilities, Energy Ministries and Independent Power Producers. Projects has been located in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Caribbean.

Since 2007 until 2009 he has been working as PMO Project Management Office head in Wärtsilä Marine Solution Business. His responsibility is leading the development of project management competencies and processes for whole Marine Solution organisation.

Since 2009 till today, he is heading Africa & Europe Project Management function in Wärtsilä Energy Solutions. He is responsible of management for execution of projects in his area project portfolio, which also includes management of project resources and coaching and support them in their projects. Dr. Sherif is a subsea engineer with about 15 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. He is specialised in subsea field developments with extensive experience in SURF packages for deep water projects.

He has been involved in several deep water, HPHP and highly insulated pipeline projects as a Technical Consultant, Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager. His main passion is about using numerical simulation to tackle engineering challenges and better quantifying the associated risk element.

He was involved in a subsea installation campaign as the SURF Manager for a project in the Mediterranean Sea which involved subsea pipelines, risers and FSO hook up operation.

Currently, he is Product Lead for the full field development and Trunklines for XSIGHT Division by Saipem.

Nicholas Gould BSc (Hons) LLM FRICS FCIArb MCIOB is a partner in the specialist construction, engineering and energy lawyers Fenwick Elliott LLP, where he conducts a mix of international dispute resolution and non-contentious work. He is a solicitor-advocate, chartered surveyor, accredited adjudicator and CEDR Chambers lead mediator. He acts forcontractors, employers and governments in the building, construction, engineering, infrastructure, transport, energy, oil and gas, and process engineering sectors.

Dispute resolution experience spans litigation, arbitration (domestic and international), adjudication, DAB/DRB, mediation, early neutral evaluation and expert determination. He regularly acts as lead mediator in multi-party multi million disputes. Nicholas is a certified adjudicator and sits on international dispute boards and as arbitrator. Phillip is a part-time Senior Lecturer at the University of Geneva Law Faculty.

Phillip Landolt is an experienced international arbitration and dispute settlement practitioner. Although his focus is on counsel and co-counsel work, he also accepts appointments as an arbitrator. Over the last several years, Phillip’s international arbitration practice has been focussed on large infrastructure projects, sale of goods and related contracts (bank guarantees, letters of credit, charterparties, etc.), distribution, agency and consulting contracts, and disputes in the telecoms sector such as under VoIP interconnection and GSM roaming contracts.

Called to the bar in Geneva, as well as in England & Wales and Ontario, Canada, in each of which jurisdictions he has also practised, Phillip is able to offer a fusion of expertise in civil law and common law practice and techniques.
