It is 10-13 cm long and 1 cm diameter.

FUNCTION

Transmit sperms from

epididymis to urethra.

Ampuula secrete sulphur

The dens fibrous C.T, cavernous or blood spaces in between surrounded with

elastic tissue

External pudendal and obturator arteries, dorsal and deep arteries respectively.

Two compact lobulated glands lateral to

the Ampullae.

10-15cm Length, 3-4cm Breadth and 1-2

cm Thickness.

FUNCTIONS Secrete main volume of seminal

plasma (>50%) which act as a vehicleto sperm activity

Secrete fructose for energy to sperm

Secrete citric acid as buffer to sperm

Secrete potassium and sodium ion tocontrol the equilibrium of osmoticpressure

Secrete Flavin which give yellowcoloration to normal ejaculate in few

bulls

Two Cowper`s glands on pelvicurethra close to ischial arch and

covered completely with bulbo-

cavernosus muscle

Oval in shape, 2-3 cm length and 1-

2 cm thick.

Its viscid secretion clean and
