INTER-REGIONAL CROSS-COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP (By Maya) At the end of September Maya, Otto and Isaac travelled to Nelson to represent Canterbury at the Inter-regional Primary School Cross Country. We had all been training hard and were looking forward to the competition. The event was held at Rabbit Island on a very sandy course, which included four challenging hills. Otto came 6th and also picked up the 4-person team gold, Maya came 25th and Isaac placed 38th. After the race the Canterbury team went for a swim and this was followed by a team dinner in the evening. In the morning we went for a run in fancy dress along Tahunanui beach. It was an amazing experience being part of the Canterbury team!
