Before cutting please NOTE for the f/g blocks, instead of cutting all those 1 1⁄2” squares, it’s better to cut three wof x 1 1⁄2” strips of fabric from fabric “f” and fabric “g”. Sew one strip of “f” to “g”, right sides facing. Press open and then cut into 2 1⁄2” x 1 1⁄2” two-patch pieces. Sew two of these pieces together to create your f/g four-patches. You’ll need a total of 36 four-patches. You’ll need only four individual 1 1⁄2” squares of the Denim blue for sashing later.

NOTE:For the “roof” blocks, align one piece (e) 2 1⁄2” Linen White square to the side of one piece (d), right sides facing. Draw a diagonal line across the center of piece (e), keeping in mind you are creating a triangle point to create “rooftop” here. Sew directly on this line. Press the seam open and trim to leave a 1⁄4” seam. Align a second piece (e) to the other side of piece (d), right sides facing. Draw a diagonal line across piece (e) to create the triangular roofline. Sew directly on this line. Press the seam open and trim the excess fabric to leave a 1⁄4” seam. Tada! A Rooftop!
