Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, The doors of the St. Peregrine Cancer Shrine opened in November 2009 to provide a sanctuary for those affected by cancer and to promote perpetual adoration of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Through the prayers offered at the Shrine, we carry on this Cancer Ministry. This November marks six years, during which time, we have prayed for people struggling with cancer in 46 out of the 50 states in the United States of

America, and 15 countries around the world. Scripture promises that faith can move mountains. We know prayer is powerful in healing both spiritual and physical wounds. Perhaps you have benefitted personally from others’ prayers and know how important their intercession has been to you and your loved ones. Through the gift of the St. Peregrine Cancer Shrine, we offer a place of hope, a sanctuary for spiritual healing and emotional peace to all those who seek prayer. We invite you to participate in this beautiful ministry by supporting us with your prayers, and to consider a financial gift to the Shrine. This gift enables the Shrine to continue to reach those affected by cancer. We established the St. Peregrine Shrine Endowment Fund three years ago in partnership with the Catholic Community Foundation. Your contribution to the Endowment Fund will leave a legacy that can be received for generations to come. To learn more about our ministry please visit our website at www.cancershrine.org. To make a donation, please mail your check payable to the St. Peregrine Shrine:

Perpetual Adoration

We have several hours that need your help. We need two adorers each hour (husband/wife count as one). Is it difficult to give a specific hour each week? Of course it is. Anything that is a ‘pearl of great price’ like our children, our homes, etc. bring with it difficulties, but they are treasures worth the price we pay.

In addition to the Hours Chart we have posted, you can go to www.cancershrine.com and then to the Adoration page and click on the monstrance to see where we need help. There is also a link to the registration form that can be printed and submitted to the Parish office.

Lord, I come, I confess, bowing here I find my rest Without You I fall apart, You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, Oh, I need You, every hour I need You My one defense, my righteousness. Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more. Where grace is found is where You are And where You are, Lord, I am free, holiness is Christ in me

So, teach my song to rise to You when temptation comes my way And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You, Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Cf. Ps 88 (87): 3 Let my prayer come into your presence. Incline your ear to my cry for help, O Lord.

When the poor ones, who have nothing, still are giving; when the thirsty pass the cup, water to share; when the wounded offer others strength and healing:

We see God, here by our side, walking our way; we see God, here, by our side, walking our way.

When compassion gives the suff'ring consolation; when expecting brings to birth hope that was lost; when we choose love, not the hatred all around us:

When our spirits like a chalice, brim with gladness; when our voices, full and clear, sing out the truth; when our longings, free from envy, seek the humble:

When the goodness poured from heaven fills our dwellings; when the nations, work to change war into peace; when the stranger is accepted as our neighbor;

Take, Lord, receive all my liberty, my memory, understanding, my entire will.

Give me only Your love and Your grace: that's enough for me. Your love and Your grace are enough for me.

Take, Lord, receive all I have and possess. You have given all to me; now I return it.

Take, Lord, receive, all is Yours now; Dispose of it wholly according to Your will.

Cf. Ps 23 (22): 1-2 The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. Fresh and green are the pastures where he gives me repose, near restful waters he leads me.

Curtis Stephan © 2008 spiritandsong.com CCLI Song # 5767814

Miracle of grace, mystery of faith, calling us to venture to the deep. Though our senses fail, Your graces still prevail, and we become the love that we receive.

Bread of life, Bread of life. Those who eat this bread shall live and never die. Bread of life, Bread of life. Your true presence in this holy sacrifice. Bread of life.

Unworthy though we are, You feed the hungry heart with bread come down from heaven above. And like a grain of wheat, we fall down at Your feet, dying here with You. Oh, let us rise!

Your faithfulness revealed in this covenant You’ve sealed with Your very body and Your blood. Come, claim your bride again with love that cannot end, for what God joins no one can divide.

Marty Haugen © 1987 GIA Publications Incorporated

Shepherd me O God, beyond my wants, beyond my fears, from death into life.

God is my shepherd so nothing shall I want, I rest in the meadows of faithfulness and love. I walk by the quiet waters of peace.

Gently you raise me and heal my weary soul, You lead me by pathways of righteousness and truth, My spirit shall sing the music of Your name.

Though I should wander the valley of death, I fear no evil, for You are at my side. Your rod and Your staff, my comfort and my hope.

You have set me a banquet of love in the face of hatred, Crowning me with love beyond my pow’r to hold.

Surely your kindness and mercy follow me all the days of my life; I dwell in the house of my God forever more.

Great is your faithfulness oh God of Jacob. You wrestle with the sinners restless heart. You lead me by still waters into mercy Where nothing can keep us apart.

So remember Your people, remember Your children, Remember Your promise, O God.

For Your grace is enough, Your grace is enough, Your grace is enough for me.

Great is Your love and justice God of Jacob. You use the weak to lead the strong. You lead us in the song of Heaven’s victory And all Your people sing along.
