The fridge is filled with food, and the only one who benefits from it, is the trash. However, we have become better at reducing food waste, which means that recipes based on left overs, smaller portions on the plate and a smarter arrangement of the products at the supermarkets are gaining traction.

Danish consumers want organic products. Where we previously limited our organic shopping for basic commodities, we are now all-in on the issue and are filling the cart with organic product.

The consumer does not want factory farmed chickens. Something new is that we also want welfare for the fish. MSC-labeled fish – that is sustainable fishing without exploiting resources or the environment - gets increasing attention and the demand is expected to increase even more in the coming years.

We want easy, healthy and authentic quality food. We just prefer not to make it ourselves. Luckily food producers are meeting us half way with the everyday kitchen routines: new peeled potatoes, stone-baked pizza bottoms, pre-cut vegetables and hamburgers already formed.
