The scope of work / specification for the construction of all Distribution Substations (Civil work and primary plant) for Polokwane, Thohoyandou, Lephalale, Groblersdal and Tzaneen zones within the Limpopo Operating Unit, on an “as and when” required basis over a period of 36 months. In general, the scope of work covered by this contract includes: Civil works; Earthworks; Earth mat; Foundations; Control room; Water Drainage system; Cable trenching; Concrete runway; Access road; Oil Drainage system; Yard stone; Equipment Earthing; Fire wall; Steelwork.
Supply of all steel work and material as per the bill of quantities (BOQ); Assembling of steelwork and erection of steelwork including torqueing of bolts and installation of chemical bolts; Supply and install of substation fencing; Equipment installation; Installation of all substation primary plant equipment including setting of equipment on top of steel ; supports and properly bolting and torqueing; Supply and install signs and labels; Primary plant cable work; Supply and installing of cables including termination and glanding. Cable work shall include opening and closing of trench covers; Stringing - Supply and stringing of conductors as per the BOQ; De-commissioning. The
scope of work will further require the contractor to perform de-commissioning such as: Removal of old cable; Removal of all equipment and supports; Demolishing of existing wall and foundations as per the BOQ; Removal of exiting yard stone.
Inclusions:The Contractor will be responsible for the storage and transportation of redundant cables, conductors, and equipment off site once remove to the specified location by the Employer. The Contractor will be responsible for the safe guarding of material once delivered to site.

1. After this clarification presentations, during evaluations, evaluators picks up that
1. Quality requirements are not submitted as per specified requirements, please note Quality requirements are unique to a tender as products/ services are not the same;
2. CQP and QCP submitted are based on previous projects whilst the template provided allows you to complete the required information;
3. QCP fields are not completed with relevant information ( QCP must simulate the SOW task order);
4. Wrong Form A completed ( see next 2 slides)
