Welcome to the new E-cabin, a high-tech forest machine cabin equipped with a turning radius of over 80 degrees that turns every head but yours!

E-cabin

Automatic stairs make entering the E-cabin quick and easy. The cabin follows the boom automatically and keeps you focused on the boom and harvester head. The highly ergonomic working environment makes even the longest shifts productive. The E-cabin features low noise and vibration levels, automatic air conditioning, food heater/cooler, and lots of storage space. Large preformed windows provide excellent visibility. The state-of-the-art cabin leveling system quickly and smoothly absorbs relief changes. You get more work done, comfortably, day after day.

PowerTech™ Plus engine with air pre-fi ltering and hydraulic reversing fanBoth the 1270E and 1470E are powered by a 9.0-liter John Deere PowerTech Plus engine that fulfi lls low emission standards. Both engines are characterized by high torque at low rpm, resulting in low fuel consumption even at high engine loads.

The new hydraulic fan is a standard in all John Deere E-Series models. The fan reverses automatically and cleans dust and debris out of the engine cooler, prolonging service intervals. The PowerCore engine air fi lter features pre-fi ltering, which multiplies the fi lter lifetime.

E-Series commonalityE-Series improvements include control system, hardware, and software. Reliable and fl exibly interchangeable electronic components improve machine serviceability. Similar control panels are used in E-Series Harvesters and forwarders to ease operator shifts from one John Deere machine to another.

All E-Series Harvesters share middle joint, stability brake, and new frame design. These features provide a solid platform for high productivity and durability.

CH7 / CH8 BoomThe 1270E is equipped with the new CH7 parallel harvester boom. The powerful and precise CH7 provides 11% more lifting torque and 15% more slewing torque than before. Depending on the application, the CH7 is available in 8.6-m, 10-m, or 11.7-m reach options.

The 1470E is equipped with the improved CH8 boom. The CH8 is available in 8.6-m, 10-m, or 11-m reach options to match your application.

The new easy-to-use TimberMatic™ H-09 control system and fi ne-tuned precise hydraulics provide smooth boom control. More precise and quick boom movements push your effi ciency to a new level.

Harvester headsDepending on the harvester model, the machine can be equipped with a variety of 2-roller or 4-roller harvester heads, including the new-generation H414 and H480C harvester heads. John Deere harvester heads combine timber-cutting power with excellent delimbing quality to the smallest diameter range. Paired with the 1270E and 1470E Harvesters, these heads are hard to beat.

TimberMatic™ H-09 control system

Innovative automation

The TimberMatic H-09 is a clear and easy-to-use control system for the E-Series Harvesters. It improves the overall productivity of the harvester as well as the whole machine chain.

TimberMatic H-09 is a reliable and easy-to-use control system for E-Series Harvesters. The control system includes measuring function, bucking, and basic machine adjustments. It delivers several features that make your work quicker and easier: e.g. shortcut keys to the most-often-used functions and controls, various operator-specifi c adjustments, and interactive selections. The control system manual, for example, opens directly to the right guideline page on the PC screen.

The TimberMatic H-09 uses several pressure sensors. Most harvester adjustments can be done without using additional pressure gauges. This provides excellent base machine adjustments and ensures high harvester productivity.

E-Series’ machine automation enables improved usability of software plus increased control and performance of the base machine.

TimberLink™John Deere is the only forest machine manufacturer that designs and provides performance and condition-monitoring systems.

TimberLink software enables E-Series machine contractors, operators, and maintenance staff to optimize productivity and machine uptime and minimize fuel expenses plus other daily operating costs. Detailed measurements of your machine make it possible to attain and maintain high productivity. The measurements taken with TimberLink can be reviewed inside the cabin or at an offi ce elsewhere. The overview display is standard in every E-Series Harvester.

TimberLink is an unbeatable tool for training both newly qualifi ed and more experienced machine operators to improve their technique and productivity.
