Classroom Capture software Pros & Cons
Pros:• Low cost – software installed on existing lectern PC + Webcam w mic• Fully automated the lecturer doesn¹t need to do anything to be recorded
as long as session booked in advance• Microphone is built into the webcam and gives decent quality audio as
long as lecturer doesn¹t walk too far away• Can record talking-head webcam video footage alongside the screen

Cons:• External laptop screen will not be recorded• The lecturer has to log in to the lectern computer • If a presenter logs out or restarts or crashes the lectern computer, the
recording will fail• No live webcasting
