    Description:

    Brief general description

Emoze, the world's first free and secure push email and personal information

management (PIM) service. With emoze, anyone with vast variety of mobile devices

can receive behind the firewall corporate and/or consumer accounts, emails and PIM

data, such as contacts and diary scheduling, on their mobile phone or PDA on the

    move, anywhere in the world.

As a real push email service, emoze will automatically push your emails and PIM data

to your phone as soon as it is sent to you without you having to pro-actively connect

to a service every time you want to send or receive. For the past few years, this type

of service has been available mainly in a very costly package and mostly restricted to

a specific hardware and software platform. Emoze removes such barriers with a free, simple, flexible, and secure service creating significant savings for corporate users

    and consumers alike.

Brief description of the emoze solution's architecture

Emoze push mail solution is composed of two main parts, the client part, on the

PDA/Mobile and the Push Mail engine which is connected to the data source.

Emoze push mail solution is able to receive data from WEB Mail services the

solution is composed of two parts, as follows:

When the data source is set to Outlook Web Access (OWA), or Gmail, the partthat is connected to the data source, residents on Emoze Global.

To use emoze using the Global Gateway, one must do the following:

    a. Install emoze client on the deviceb. Follow emoze Wizard on the client

    c. Select data sources

Emoze client is able to connect to several data sources simultaneously. For each data source, emoze creates a designated mailbox in the device'snative 'Messaging' application. The user may adjust settings like, syncingrules, connectivity and cleanup rules, etc', for each data source connectionseparately.

More detailed information can be found further down this document.

    Before you start:

If you are synchronizing your data on the handset with other tools (e.g. NokiaPC Suite), it is highly recommended that you cancel mail and PIMsynchronization from that tool. Synchronizing data with both emoze and othertools will cause duplications and inconsistencies with your data.

    Sign In process

Once a new account (data source) was added, emoze will attempt to connectto it and Sign In with the username and password provided.

    2.5 Synchronization process:

After sign-in was successful emoze will look for an existing mail, contactsand calendar items in the device and will map their IDs to avoid duplications. After mapping is completed it starts receiving the remote items to the device(items are received to device compressed and encrypted), emoze decryptsand uncompresses the data, than it parses the data, constructs Symbian

items and adds them to the Contacts, Calendar and account's Inbox folders, depending on the type of data parsed.Notes:

    1. For each new account (data source) added, emoze creates a newmailbox with the account's username as the mailbox name.

    2. The mailbox emoze creates features new and unique features, such asoptions to change the font size in a message and 'download ondemand' support.

After all items are retrieved and inserted to the device folders emoze willstay in the mode where it listens and is on standby for new items.

"Periodic Mode" vs. "Always On mode"For rach account, emoze can work in 2 ways: "Always On" (default) and"Periodic Mode".In Always On mode the client maintains the connection and it is in Listeningmode and therefore, it will be notified by the server for any new itemsavailable or if any updates occurred.User can configure the account to "Sleep Mode". In this case the accountstays in Sleep Mode for time defined in "Power saving mode" in the Accountsmenu, or until it gets notification for new items that need to be sent from the

device. In case of clicking on "Send" on an account's menu the accountconnects to the server and will be notified about updates. In Always On modeaccount just listens for notifications from the server and will communicate onlyif it was notified for new items (no traffic will be consumed in both cases, butbattery will be consumed some more in Always On mode).

    Note:

While an account is connected, either in "Always On" mode or in "PeriodicMode", emoze will re-establish the connection every time it will need it,even if the connection was aborted via the 'Connection Manager' forinstance. To stop emoze from re-establishing the connection, one must

'Stop' all of the accounts added to emoze.

    17/38

    Public Page 17 19/9/2010

Emoze will automatically aborts the connection if there is only one accountconnected and the user select to 'Stop' it or when closing/exiting theemoze application.

The emoze application will automatically launch and connect, if the userattempts to send an email via one of the emoze accounts/mailboxes, whilethe emoze application is not running.

If emoze is running, but the user has stopped the accounts he tries to sendan email from, emoze will NOT automatically establish a connection andsign-in, to send the email.

    Important notes:

Emoze supports only 'Meetings' in calendar. Other types, such asanniversary, tasks or reminders, are not supported and will not besynchronized by emoze.

Emoze maps Outlook 'All day events' from the PC, to 'Memo' entries onthe device, (as the PC Suit does).

As mentioned above For each account defined in emoze, emoze createsa new mailbox, with the account's username as the mailbox name, and willplace the account's incoming emails in the account's designated mailbox.

This is done in order to allow the user to easily distinguish betweenincoming emails of different accounts and none emoze related items(transferred files, SMS, MMS items, etc'). And to allow us to add uniquefeatures to the mailbox, such as, an option to change the font size.

Backup/Restore of Emoze application itself not supported, however, emailsand PIM data can be backed up and restored with no dependency withemoze.

Emoze doesn't support Calendar reminders synchronization.

When the application is installed on the phone, it will be automaticallylaunched at the end of the process.

HTML e-mails are displayed in plain text with some links automaticallyadded, even if these links were not existing (links on phone number or e-mail address)

Setting up of OWA account is split to 2 steps if application in portrait mode, but it is split to 4 steps if application in landscape mode.

    Known issues regarding the MTM

When viewing or composing an email while in landscape mode andselecting 'Font size +' from the menu, scrolling up/down dynamicallystretches and shrinks the scroll bar. Stretches when scrolling down andshrinks when scrolling back up, to avoid stepping over the head of theemail.

The 'To', 'From', 'CC', 'Subject' labels, are not resized when changingthe font size while viewing an email.

The 'BCC' field is not available.

Screen refresh when switching between portrait and landscape is a bitslow.

If a mailbox in the messaging application is connected while trying toinstall/uninstall emoze, the messaging application will flash rapidlywhile emoze is trying to close it. (pressing on the left SK will close itand end the loop)

When opening a certain message in the emoze mailbox andimmediately click on the LSK the message view/editor will be closedand won't be opened. User currently should wait until the messageopened completely and than he can send the LSK. This is a minorissue for the application and will be fixed for next version.

    8.1 Attachments download

Emoze supports selective attachments download. The user is able to view theavailable attachments for a selected email (via the open email's contextmenu) and select the attachments he wishes to download/open (if the

    attachment was already downloaded).

An open email context menu contains the option 'View Attachments',selecting it, will display all of the associated attachments to the open email:

Selecting an attachment will bring up an alert, asking the user if he wishes todownload the attachment, emoze will also try to take an educated guess, andalert the user if the user might not be able to open the file on the device due tothe file type.

Emoze does that by checking the file's suffix and comparing it to a list ofcommon file types that are open-able by most of the mobile devices. If emozedoesn't recognize the file suffix as open-able, it will display an alert, alertingthe user that he might not be able to open the file on the device. If emozedoes recognize the file suffix, it will go on with the download process withoutfurther notice.

While an attachment is being downloaded, the user has the option to select'Cancel download' from the menu and abort the download process. There aretwo ways to abort the download process; the user can abort the download fora specific attachment file (if the email contains multiple attachments) or for all

of the attachments in the email.
