Each day on the job, we always need to write: a report for the boss, an email to a colleague, a proposal to a customer...
An e�ective writing can help you communicate e�ciently with others. There are 10 tips that may help you.
CompleteBefore writing, you analyze �rst your reader
not to miss anything. You need to know:
the purposeof the message
the info that must be included
the info that yourreader already knows
the info that yourreader needs to know
the action that you want from the reader
if you’ve already hada word with the reader
ConciseUse as few words as possible.
It is better to avoid
meaningless expressions stock phrases
ClearYour message does not need any interpretation to be understood.
After writing, ask yourself:
Have I considered the context for the word I used?
Have I used any jargon?
Is the information organized in a logic way?
PersonalizedYou write to a human.
