The Polar BearPolar Bears, also known as “Sea Bears,” are adorable. But beware,
these animals are the LARGEST of all the bears. They can weigh up
to 1,700 pounds (771 kg) and can grow up to 11 feet (3.4 m) tall.
These bears are very smart hunters and excellen
t swimmers.
The
NorTh Pole
The
North Pole
is part of the Arctic region. In the
Arctic, there is a day in June when
the sun shines all day and all night.
There is also a day in
December when it’s
dark all day and
all night.
Would your family ever take a summer vacation
to the North Pole? Probably not. You could
probably think of a few reasons not to go
to the North Pole for summer vacation. It
is very, very cold and very, very far away!
How cold is it?
The average temperatures in the
Arctic Circle range from -30°F (-34°C)
during the winter up to 60°F (16°C)
during the summer. Since a layer
of soil is frozen all year long
(permafrost), only a limited variety
of plants and animals can survive
in this region.
Several people groups live in the Arctic region.
Most of these people were born in the Arctic. They
have learned to live in harsh conditions, and many
of them earn their money by fishing, hunting,
and trapping animals for the fur. A lot of what
they eat comes from right where they live. They
eat fish, whale, seal, caribou, native plants, and
other things. In the winter there are a lot of fun
things to do like hockey, sliding, skating, sledding,
snowboarding, skiing, and playing in the snow …
but you sure need to bundle up!

Bears were created
by God on Day 6 about
6,000 years ago. That’s
when God made all
kinds of land animals.
Hey Buddy!
How did the people get to the arctic?
Well, it all goes back to the Tower of Babel! Their
ancestors eventually moved here after God
confused the languages of the grandchildren of
Noah about 4,200 years ago! You can read more
about the Tower of Babel in the Bible, Genesis 11.

Upholding the authority of the Bible from the very first verse
Her daddy was killed by a drunk driver. She wants to know where God was when her daddy needed Him the most.As a society, we reap the consequences of the unquestioned acceptance of the belief in evolution every day. It teaches us that God isn't real and that He isn't paying attention. It has no answers for why bad things happen in our world. Find hope. Find truth. Find answers today.
