Objective: The colloquium aimed to address issues related to the growth of the present broadband market, the emerging broadband access technologies and international standards in the Asia Pacific region.

Plan for 2005

1. Organize the 2nd IEEE Region 10 Technical Colloquium in a different city

Schedule Solicit for proposals – announcement sent on 1 Feb 05 Original deadline for submission of proposal – 28 Feb 05 New deadline for submission of proposal – 31 May 2005

BudgetRequested US$3,000 to be used as seed funding for the Colloquium and for meeting other colloquium related expenses.

2. Seek more corporate sponsorships and establish joint program for the industry for the Region 10 Colloquium and other technical activities.

3. Provide assistance to sections/councils in the organization of technical activities and in the coordination of other regional technical events.

4. Provide assistance to Education Program Coordinator and Student Activities Coordinator
