1. The union Govt. has conferred infrastructure status to ____ Logistics sector.

Note:

➢ The decision will help logistics sector access longer term finance and on better financing terms.

➢ This status will help the sector get credit at competitive rates and on a long-term basis as rising logistics cost

impacts the global competitiveness of exporters.

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched an all in one app at the Global Conference on Cyber Space, as an initiative to

promote Digital India Program ___Umang App.

Note:

➢ UMANG stands for Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance and can be downloaded by the people to

avail various Government services.

➢ The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD) have

together developed this app.

➢ The app provides 162 services from 33 state and central government departments and four states.

3. The union finance Arun Jaitley has launched SBI's unified integrated app ____YONO (You Only Need One).

Note:

➢ ‘YONO’ is the first digital banking platform which offers customized products to the customer. SBI has tied with 60

e-commerce players, including Amazon, Ola, Flipkart, Yatra, etc. to provide more facility other than banking

services.

➢ The application can be accessed on the web browser and mobile phones Android and iOS platforms.

4. The Union Cabinet grants approval for India’s Membership of European Bank for _____Reconstruction & Development.

Note:

➢ The Department of Economic Affairs under Ministry of Finance will now take necessary steps to acquire the

membership of EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction & Development).

➢ This membership is expected to enhance the economic interests of our country and also strengthen India’s

international profile.

➢ Approximately one million euros is the minimum initial investment for the membership of EBRD.

5. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification, the company can hold more than 26% post-conversion of debt

into equity in companies undergoing restructuring___ Asset Reconstruction Companies (ARCs).

Note:

➢ ARCs should also maintain new owned fund (NOF) of Rs. 100 crores.

➢ ARCs should have at least half of the board members as independent directors to be eligible for exemption from

the shareholding limit.

6. The union govt. has fixed the issue price of Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) for the next subscription period under Sovereign

Gold Bond Scheme 2017 -18 at ____ 2,961 rupees per gram.

Note:

➢ The next subscription period is 27th to 29th of this month.

➢ The government had floated Series-3 of Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18, for the period from 9th of October to 27th

of December this year.

7. Foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country increased by 17% during April-September fiscal ____USD 25.35 billion.

➢ Paytm Payments Bank is a mobile-first bank with zero charges on all online transactions and no minimum balance

➢ ‘Amazon India’ has collaborated with organisations that work with towards encouraging women

➢ The Jazz singer wrote the lyrics to existing Basie songs, and the three recorded their own voices in layers instead

2. Noted mimicry artist and actor passed away in Kochi___ Kalabhavan Abi.

➢ Kalabhavan Abi performance as an aged Muslim lady named ‘Amina Thatha’ made him a household name and also

acted in around 50 films.

2. Indian Navy has inducted its first woman pilot___ Shubhangi Swaroop.

➢ Shubhangi was the first of the 328 cadets who passed out from the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kannur.

Shubhangi would now undergo training for the pilot at Dundigal Airforce Academy in Hyderabad.

3. Britain appoints new Ambassador to UN ___ Karen Pierce.

➢ Britain has appointed Karen Pierce as its new Ambassador to the UN.

➢ He replaced incumbent Matthew Rycroft under whom it suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of India in the

recent election to the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

1. The world's fastest supersonic cruise missile has been successfully tested for the first time from a Sukhoi-30MKI fighter of

the Indian Air Force (IAF) ___ BrahMos.

➢ Now, BrahMos is capable of being launched from land, sea, and air.

➢ world's only supersonic cruise missile BrahMos was built as an India-Russia collaboration, named after the rivers

Moskva and Brahmaputra.

2. President Ram Nath Kovind visited the Indian National Army (INA) War Memorial and Museum at ____ Moirang, Manipur.

➢ President Kovind also visited the INA museum which houses wartime relics, photographs and other documents

12. The union govt. has notified Minimum Export Price of onion to ensure its availability in the domestic market___850

dollars per tonne.

➢ The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation (NAFED) and Small Farmers Agribusiness

Consortium (SFAC) to procure 12 thousand tonnes onion.

➢ MMTC has been given permission to import two thousand tonnes of onion to augment its availability in the

market.

13. The 12th Standing Committee meeting of the Inter-State Council held under the Chairmanship of Home Minister Rajnath

Singh in ____New Delhi.

➢ The meeting will discuss the recommendations of the Punchhi Commission on Centre-State Relations.

1. The National Milk Day (NMD) has been observed across India ___26th November. Note:

➢ The day mark the birth anniversary of the Father of the White Revolution Dr. Verghese Kurien. ➢ The idea of observing National Milk Day was first mooted by Indian Dairy Association (IDA) in 2014 on the lines of

States News

1. The state govt. has decided to sell tur dal at subsidized rates Rs. 55 per kg through its public distribution system (PDS)___Maharashtra. Note:

➢ They decided to mill tur and sell it to the various departments including tribal development, women, and child development & medical education department for their respective establishments.

➢ The state govt. has procured around 25 lakh quintal Tur for 1,263 crore rupees. 2. The state has the highest number of women entrepreneurs in India ___ Tamil Nadu.

Note: ➢ The report is based on the state-wise analysis of the state of women entrepreneurship in the country.

3. A Project is launched for Development of North Eastern Region ___ North East Rural Livelihood Project. Note:

➢ The objective of the scheme is to assist over 10,000 Self Help Groups (SHGs) and benefit about three lakh poor households.

➢ The scheme is supported by the World Bank and will primarily benefit the tribal and the lower socioeconomic groups, including women, in the North-Eastern Region (NER).

4. Chief Minister of Maharashtra ‘Devendra Fadnavis’ and Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar jointly laid the foundation stone of a healthcare centre for children in____ Kharghar, Mumbai. Note:

➢ The centre is named as 'The Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Health Care and Training in Paediatric Heart Care Skill'.

➢ It would be operational in about a year. 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the first phase of the 30 km-long (24 stations) Hyderabad Metro Rail

➢ The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project will cover a total distance of 72 kilometres across three corridors. 6. The state govt. has 'Fish Pond Yojana' scheme to boost fish production in the state with a budgetary provision of 96 crore

rupees in Bhubaneshwar___ Odisha. Note:

➢ The scheme aims to create additional 2,200 hectares of fresh water aquaculture farming with 50% financial assistance to farmers.

7. The state govt. will get three Passport Seva Kendras (PSK) within two weeks and 20 such facilities by the end of 2018___ Odisha. Note:

➢ The three PSKs will come up in Balasore, Bhawanipatna and Berhampur by the next fortnight. 8. The state Govt. has imposed a ban on the bursting of firecrackers in six of its cities from 1st December to 31st January____

➢ Rice is considered suitable for people with diabetics and resistant to bacteria blight. ➢ The new variety is not a transgenic one and they did molecular breeding in CCMB and traditional rice breeding at

the rice research institute. 2. A volcano on the Indonesian tourist island of Bali has erupted for the first time in __54 years.

Note: ➢ The agency has advised people to stay away from areas within a 7.5 kilo meter radius of the volcano. The volcano

belched smoke as high as 700 meters above its summit. In 1963, around 1,600 people died when Mount Agung erupted.

3. The country has named the most violent region in the world for Women____ Latin America. Note:

➢ UN Women and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) in a report presented in Panama found Latin America and the Caribbean as the most violent region in the world for women.

➢ Central America and Mexico were named as particularly dangerous places in the report. 4. The country has successfully launched remote sensing satellites designed to conduct electromagnetic probes & other

➢ The satellites were launched on board of Long March-2C rocket from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwestern Sichuan province.
