HighlightsHighlights

• FO-4 has met twice since the last TC meeting– June 2005 in Boulder, Colorado at NIST’s facilities– January 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada

• Changes in the Engineering Committee– Tom Robinson of Draka/Comteq elected as the new FO-4 Chair at

January meeting– Tom Ball resigned as Chair of FO-4.3; Greg Sandels appointed Vice-

Chair with Andre Girard– FO-4.4 on active devices/reliability disbanded and rolled into FO-4.1

on Systems• Attendance appears stable

FO-4 needsFO-4 needs

• Document maintenance remains a key challenge– Delays in implementing committee requests

• Document processing• Need forward pointers• Need the ability to do group re-affirmations

– Need to do a better job of document action in subcommittee

• FO-4 continues to nationally adopt IEC Standards where possible– Issues with copyright impacted standard availability

• FO-4 remains open to co-locating meetings
