1. Environmental Policy
VisionThe school will do its best to promote and practice environmental
protection, strengthen the environmental culture and atmosphere in
the school to cultivate the attitude of environmental protection for
children. Students become responsible environmental protection
citizens through structure and management, curriculum and
teaching, organization and activities. In order to cultivate good
habits of environmental protection for children, they will recognize
the relationship between human beings and social resources to
establish a sustainable development society collabratively.
AimsWe will implement the spirit of "whole school participation" and build
green schools jointly. Through a variety of strategies and measures,
integrate environmental protection information into the operation
and learning experience of all aspects of the school, so that all staff
have the right knowledge, enthusiasm, positive actions and promote
it to others. Through the school staff to be an example, they raise
up the enthusiasm of children and parents to protect the
environment, make them to be a responsible environmental
protection citizen, and work hard for sustainable development.
1. Building the basic value of sustainable development for staff,
parents and young children
2. Providing teachers, parents and young children learn about
sustainable development knowledge and skills
3. Providing teachers and young children practice environmental
protection
4. Improving the attitude of teachers and young children to
environmental protection

PolicyThe school uses the whole school to participate in a comprehensive
learning model to promote environmental education and integrate
this philosophy into different learning areas.
PlanThe school curriculum team will collaborate with environmental
education on the subject matter to incorporate knowledge and skills
related to environmental protection in both classroom and external
activities. Regardless of music, themes, visits, and scientific inquiry,
different teaching opportunities will instill knowledge of
environmental education. And values, for example, children can
discuss the impact of environmental pollution on plant growth when
park visiting, why do the leaves have a lot of dust; How to use the
body to show the plants without water under the music and
movement activities? Collection recyclable articles and creating
them in order to practice environmental protection.
StrategiesEnvironmental education is not just a matter of imparting
knowledge. More importantly, it is the cultivation of attitudes and the
practice of actions. Therefore, we will not insist that we receive
immediate results. We hope to promote environmental protection in
a “step by step” approach. In order to be able to plant the seeds of
environmental protection in the hearts of children. To achieve the
goal, our school takes the following measures.
MeasuresThe school has set environmental protection measures to allow
employees to clarify the direction of the school for environmental
protection and is willing to work together to achieve a common
vision.
1. Restricted use/reuse
• We put a recycling bin aside the printers for single-side waste paper
• We save the documents as computerized, such as lesson plans. We
use air-conditioning in accordance with the guidelines for switching
air-conditioning and save energy.
• We use the heater in accordance with the criteria of the switch
heater and save energy.

young children use different
sizes of cartons and arrange
them according to their sizes.
Big Lantern making
Before the Lantern Festival,
the teacher invited parents
and children to collect the
used red packets back to
school so that the children
could work together to make
a large lantern. On Lantern
Festival, parents and children
could guess riddles from the
lanterns.5
3. Examples of environmental
protection activities
"Environmental Tree"
Design
Children use different
materials, such as cartons,
plastic bottles, paper shreds,
etc., and then paint them with
colors to design a "green
tree" in the hope of reminding
others of the importance of
caring for the environment.
Graphic magic
Children found the different shapes
at the bottom of the bottles such as:
round, square and flower patterns.
So they painted watercolors on
those and created their new
productions.

children learn about the knowledge of
different animals, including their
appearance and habits. After discussion,
they decided to make a large animal model.
They collected a lot of environmental
materials, such as cartons, clothes buttons,
toilet paper tubes, plastic spoons, lids, and
egg trays. They also used different arts and
crafts skills. At last, a model of an animal
kingdom was finally completed!
Is the pig house sturdy?
In the story of the “three little pigs”, children
learned to build different houses with different
materials. Therefore, they try to use different
materials to stack or arrange (e.g. Yakult bottles,
toilet paper Tubes, cartons...) in order to build
different houses for the pigs and look for those
materials to build a sturdy house that will prevent
the big wolf from knocking down their houses.
News Sharing –“ No Straw”
Action
The teacher shared “No Straw”
activities on different places with
children. Through sharing
children understand the plastic
cannot be decomposed into the
nutrient of the plant after being
used as garbage.7
Carton Hide and Seek
In the theme "Stepping into
the Paper Kingdom,"
children proposed to use
cardboard boxes for games.

Mouth Saves the Earth: Fruit Day and Meal Arrangement
In order to reduce the carbon dioxide and decrease the consumption
of grain by raising animals. The school actively encourages children
to eat more fruits and vegetables, and eat less meat. Our school
would like to arrange two meals a day for children.
In addition to participating in the 「Fruit Day」 organized by the
Department of Health every year, our school specially set up a 「Fruit Recipes / Snack Design Competition」 this year to allow
parents to participate into the function in order to enhance their
integration of healthy meals into their homes.
In addition, the proportion of vegetables is also increased to allow
children to eat a balanced diet, and also cultivate their good habits
of eating more fruits and vegetables in the meal menus.

story book packaging tray to create a
teaching aid for training children's hand-
eye coordination. Children put the small
ball into the box, and then manipulated the
forearm and wrist. Children shaked the
packing box to control the ball rolling into
the toilet paper hole in the box.
Marble painting tray
In the art and craft activities, the
teacher used the lid of the A4
carton to make marble paintings
with children. They first put the
drawing paper into the lid, then
added different colors on it. When
they shake the lid, the marble will
roll and bring along the flow of
watercolor to become a different
picture.
Long slide
In the scientific corner,
children test what items will
roll. They used a toilet paper
drum to connect the slides
that became their favorite
slopes, and then placed the
items on the slides to see if
the objects just slid down or
really rolled off. After
experiment, it was found
that objects in the shape of
a sphere will roll.
