Redevco is an independent, pan-European real estate investment management company

specialised in retail property. It is our business to identify those markets that contribute to the success of

the retailer – and thus to our own success and that of our investors. Through cooperative ventures with like-minded

investors who share our values and corporate governance qualities, we are looking to invest across the risk return spectrum in property

ranging from High Street retail assets in major European cities to dominant out-of-town retail parks and shopping centres in or near dominant retail

destinations. Our investment decisions are based on a well-substantiated view fueled by our in-house Research & Strategy team combined with the local knowledge

and expertise of our teams on the ground. The combined portfolio comprises 400 assets under management located in the strongest retail concentrations in Europe, with a combined

value of 6.7 billion euro. Redevco is part of COFRA Holding AG.

There is a lot of uncertainty in the world these days, both on a macro and micro level. Changes in the political, economic and financial landscape, combined with the introduction of new disruptive technologies, have a direct impact on everyone. What people in general, and consumers explicitly, are longing for in these uncertain times is stability and security. They are looking for reliability and meaning, for things that do not feel fake. And this is where authenticity comes into play.

ICSC has made ‘authenticity‘ the theme for its 2016 event cycle. This 5th Retail Strategy & Trends Forum takes a bold approach to the topic and states “Authenticity – Adapt or Die”. We will explore this assertion from the perspectives of consumers, retailers and placemaking, with a view to understanding how these three components combine to create the retail experience.

Our speakers and panelists will tackle questions such as: How does consumer behaviour evolve? What strategies are helping retailers achieve success and how can asset managers support them in this endeavour? What are the key aspects for successful placemaking from an architect’s perspective? How do we – as asset managers – create places that are authentic and offer a truly unique experience?

The event was established to provide information, insight and interaction in a practical format for retail research and asset management professionals. We want to empower you to implement effective strategies to deliver returns and results in your assets. Gathering talented individuals from more than 20 countries across Europe, this forum provides an excellent opportunity to meet, network and exchange ideas with key stakeholders. Dynamic presentations, engaging discussions and practical group sessions will make this an interactive and thought-provoking event.

We would like to thank all those involved in organising and speaking at our forum, and extend a special thanks to our ICSC Partners and Event Sponsor. We are confident the ICSC Retail Strategy & Trends Forum 2016 will be a valuable and enjoyable experience.

¡BIENVENIDOS!

On behalf of ICSC, welcome to our Retail Strategy & Trends Forum 2016 where Europe’s most experienced retail real estate professionals come together to explore what the future has in store for our industry.
