Thank you for forwarding such an admirable photograph

of the arrival ceremony on the White House lawn at the end

of last month. It is the best possible souvenir of a happy

and memorable occasion.

The short answer to your question is that I do indeed

believe that the coming into office of the current Governments

in London and Washington reflects a real and permanent change

in attitudes.
