By popular demand, Texas Hold’em has returned to Rookies on Friday nights. These are just-for-the-fun-of-it card sessions. No gambling of any kind will be permitted, including side bets and cash money is not permitted on the tables at any time. Club Members play for free; all
others must ante-up $10 per night. Sign-ups open for one hour starting at 5 p.m. each Friday. All rules and

This is one of our most popular excursions. Join us as we discover the Barrier Islands with a experienced tour guide along with a
wonderfully scenic stopover on Capers Island. Trip leaves the ORC promptly at
9:15 a.m. Once we get underway, the tour is approximately 90 minutes in length
along a 30-mile route. Jet ski experience helpful, but not necessary. Cost: $179 per

Boat orientation classAug. 4 & 18
These one-hour orientation classes are required in order to checkout motor-driven ORC boats. Advance class
registration required. Cost is $5. Before attending class, boater must take a free on-line boater safety course at
www.boatus.org and pass with a minimum score of 80%. Call the ORC after testing to schedule an
orientation class.

We have a great way for your office, group ororganization to get together outdoors and just have a fun day on the river. These group trips can be with canoes, kayaks or a combination of both. The rates start at $40
per person, which includes all equipment, transportation and qualified guides. Trips can be booked for any day of
the week. Due to the availability of equipment on a requested date, it may be necessary to limit the size of the group. (A good reason to book as early as possible.)

Tandem Skydiving - Aug. 8. Walterboro, S.C. - Jump out of a perfectly good plane just for fun! The $100 price includes transportation, tandem sky dive instruction and jump. Bring money for dinner. Trip will depart from the Bowman Center at 8 a.m., returning around 5 p.m.
Crabbing 101 - Aug. 6. $10. Learn di�erent methods of crabbing and give each a try! Instruction, bait, equipment and food included in $20 cost. Departs Bowman Center and ORC at 5 p.m., and returns around 8:30 p.m.

Congressional AwardsYoung Americans ages 13½ to 23 are invited to
challenge themselves to set, plan and achieve goals in four program areas: • Volunteer/public service
• Personal development • Physical Fitness• Expedition/exploration activities. Participants will be recognized with bronze and silver medals at local, city or state ceremonies. Starts Oct. 7During this PGA event, youth will be
instructed by a certified teaching professional in areas of etiquette, golf rules and terms,
proper swing techniques and how to play the course. All equipment is provided. This four-
week program is free for Youth Centermembers ages 8-14 and will be conducted at
Wrenwoods Golf Course on the Air Base3-4 p.m., every Wednesday in October.

National touring group seekingyouth for local stage productionThe Missoula Children’s Theater group is searching for actors, actresses and crew members for their upcoming local production of “The Little Mermaid.” The show will
be at the Air Base Theater on Aug. 14. Opportunities are open for youth in grades 1-12 to be part of this
exciting event and no experience in any area is required. Auditions will be held Aug. 10 at 2 p.m. in

Before & After School CareRegistration continues for the 2015-2016 school year Before and After School care program at the Air Base Youth Center. Children ages 5 (kindergarten) through 12 year olds are eligible. Children in the program are provided transportation to and from many elementary schools in the immediate area of the Air Base. Before
school care provides transportation to Lambs and Hunley Park elementary schools. After school,
transportation will be provided back to the Youth Center from Lambs, Hunley Park, Eagles Nest, Fort Dorchester, Windsor Hill, Joseph Pye and Oakbrook elementary schools. Stop by to pick up a registration

Donations neededfor “Teen Swag Bags” As part of our National Keystone
Project, Air Base Youth Program teens are collecting items to put in “Teen Swag Bags” that will be donated to
