2005, Good News To-

day is now an inde-

pendent outreach,

overseen by the capa-

ble, farsighted elder-

ship of the White Oak

Church of Christ, in

Chattanooga, TN.

The White Oak

congregation and

guests celebrated the

1,000th taping with

“Finger Foods” and a

“Sweet-Hearts” des-

sert contest, ably and

joyfully judged by

college and high

school students. Rainy

weather outside didn’t

dampen the spirits of

the Christians inside,

who rejoiced that their

mission work had

reached such a signi-

ficant milestone.

The 1,000th Good

News Today program

featured Leroy Ded-

mon’s “Leaving a

Legacy” segment—an

amusing story with a

serious application

concerning personal

responsibility; Steven

Hall’s “Challenges”

segment about con-

structive and destruc-

tive criticism; and a

“Be Ready Always”

with David Smith,

who told viewers how

to show from the word

of God that we don’t

live under the Old

Testament today.

We are thankful to

Good News Today now airs at 7:00 A. M., Sundays, on station WKNX-TV 7, out of

Knoxville, Tennessee. The program reaches nearly two million people, who receive

WKNX Channel 7, which is also Channel 7 on Charter, Dish Network, DirecTV,

AT&T, and Knology, and Channel 4 on Comcast. From WKNX, the broadcast reaches

into four other states, with a radius of about 100 miles in all directions from Knoxville.
