6th International Symposium on Natural Resource Management
PRESENTATION - SYMPOSIUM VENUE
A country's economic development is based on the intensified exploitation of natural resources with the aim of acquiring raw materials and energy. There are two issues related to this phenomenon: depletion of nonrenewable natural resources and pollution of renewable natural resources. Bearing in mind that the depletion of nonrenewable resources is unavoidable, it is necessary to create a system of alternative energy sources, which will ensure uninterrupted energy supply.
The environmental pollution is yet another problem the modern society faces. As the world's population grows and the economic growth and development increase, the environment is under higher and higher pressure. On one hand the demand for fresh water and food is soaring; on the other, the quantity of waste is growing and it has to be disposed somewhere as the decomposition of waste materials may take several decades.
Climate change has become the central issue after the Paris UN Climate Conference. It is necessary to define the appropriate mechanisms and strategies which will regulate and improve the current state in order to ensure human survival.
There are indeed many issues and topics related to natural resource management which are interesting and popular today. So far we have discussed global issues; however, when dealing with Serbia itself, these issues are not of less interest.
The Faculty of Management in Zajecar organizes the 6th International Symposium on Natural Resource Management with the aim of emphasizing the key issues, drawing conclusions and finding the optimal solutions to afore mentioned problems. We hope that different people from economic and scientific spheres will ensure useful exchange of ideas and opinions which will further help see the real situation in the field and find adequate scientific solutions.
The Sixth International Symposium on Natural Resource Management will be held June 25-26, 2016 at the Faculty of Management in Zajecar at bb Park Suma Kraljevica, Zajecar, Serbia
