Shelter and WASH Project in Al Udayn, Mudhikhera and Jiblah Districts, IbbGovernorate:
As a part of YDN WASH activities within shelter and WASH project in Ibb governorate, and to encourage good hygiene practices and raising community awareness, YDN has started conducting hygiene awareness sessions for the community through CHVs this activity targeted all segments of society.The participants were provided with key hygiene messages (Hand washing times, Effective hand washing, personal hygiene, safe water and storage, COVID-19, Diarrhea, etc..), also they were provided with brochures shows some of the hygiene messages demonstrating. Mitigation procedures were taken to reduce the COVID-19 spread risk.

Shelter and WASH Project in Al Udayn, Mudhikhera and Jiblah Districts, IbbGovernorate:
After conducting the comprehensive campaign to collect and remove the piled garbage, and to ensure the continuity of collecting and removing garbage YDN has started conducting the regular cleaning rounds twice a week by supporting the cleaning fund with fuel, cleaning fund workers with equipment (Carry, Boat, excavator, Garbage pail, Hat, Shovel, Sweepers, Uniform) and incentive in the urban area of Bani Hat sub-district.

Shelter and WASH Project in Al Udayn, Mudhikhera and Jiblah Districts, IbbGovernorate:
As a part of YDN Shelter response in Ibb governorate, Recipients of cash assistance
were determined through the Verification Assessment Framework (VAF), which identifies
the poorest and most vulnerable families based on Shelter Cluster criteria for selecting the
beneficiaries. Cash assistance is meeting the majority of beneficiaries’ basic needs by
helping them afford rent and pay monthly bills. It is also improving their lives by having a
positive impact on beneficiaries’ psychological well-being, food security, health and
educational access, through financial stability.
On Wednesday 14𝑡ℎ of Oct, the distribution of the first round of rental subsidies for
500 IDPs in Al Udayn, Mudhikhera and Jiblah Districts, Ibb Governorate began.

Accountability to affected population in the Shelter project:
Beneficiaries showed high
satisfaction about the way they
dealt with YDN staff. In terms of
communication with YDN,
beneficiaries were given a number
of mechanisms of which they can
use to report complaints or to
provide feedback on the cash
assistance. These communication
channels are also well-known

TPM field visit for shelter project:
The monitoring of the project has taken place on this month, conducted by Prodigy, a
third-party monitoring service provider contracted by OCHA to undertake the monitoring
of YHF funded projects. The visit included the three districts and rental subsidies
distribution points for the project Shelter and WASH Project in Al Udayn, Mudhikhera and
Jiblah Districts, Ibb Governorate. YDN's team was cooperative with the visit and provided
everything Prodigy requested and the result of the monitoring visit was good and
satisfying.

TPM Field Visit to the targeted HFs in Kharif and Raydah district in Amrangovernorate:
As a regular monitoring and evaluation process by the donors, YHF is contracting with
third parties to monitor and evaluate the provision of services in the field.
Prodigy, as one of the third parties, has visited the targeted health facilities in Kharif and
Raydah districts in Amran governorate to monitor all related activities, including checking
the data of health services provided to the beneficiaries, incentivized health workers,
receipts of procurements including medicines, medical supplies, furniture and equipment,
in addition, assessing the beneficiaries’ satisfaction and awareness of the project activities
and complaints’ mechanisms.
The visit was successfully conducted, field team was collaborative and the result of the
monitoring visit was good and satisfying.

Signing a small scale fund agreement (SSFA) for a new project funded by UNICEF:
On 9th of October,2020, YDN signed a small
scale fund agreement (SSFA) of a new nutrition
project funded by UNICEF. The project is for
capacitating Community Health Volunteers (CHVs)
to deliver health and nutrition basic services in the
community at Bani Thabyan district in Sana'a
governorate.

During the distribution, social protection was taken into account, thus men were
separated from women in regular queues, and the distribution process was facilitated for
people with special needs; the elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic diseases.
16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence:
It is a global campaign launched by the United Nations in 1991, with the aim of combating
all forms of violence against women and girls around the world.
The campaign runs from November 25, which is the International Day for the Elimination of
Violence against Women, to December 10, which is Human Rights Day.
The campaign color is orange, and the
United Nations chose this color, "an
expression of hope for a bright future
free of violence.

As part of the FSAC prioritization process, FSAC circulated assessment template to their
partners to provide information on Partner Access, and Partner Capacity mapping
templates. FSAC received response from 43 partners. Level of access measured by a
severity scale of 1-5 (5 being the most severe) and Partners clarified access issue faced
(conflict, bureaucratic impediments, physical terrain, others). The analysis of the
assessment shows that 39% FSAC partners and 69% from UN agencies faced main problem
in physical terrain where 41% partners faced challenges in physical terrain in the IRG areas.
In capacity analysis the results show that 37% from technical staff of food security between
the range from 1-10 where 88% of them from monitoring and evaluation staff. 58% of
partners conduct from 1 to 5 food security assessment where 90% of them used post
distribution monitoring assessment after the distribution. 98% of the organizations were
able to independently register beneficiaries and undertaken verification of their list and
take the vulnerable criteria for the beneficiaries. 62% of the partners used combination
modality of assistance in their project (in-kind, vouchers, cash).
Providing educational supplies for schools in Hudramout governorate, Thumud - Ramah
districts in eight governmental schools will be provided with 417 double chairs,8 computer
labs, 4 science labs, 32 education bags, and 1,657 students school bags for 1,657 students
Ramah high school, Ramah girls school, Alshaykh Khalid Ben Tanaff and Aabwa school,
in Ramah and Thamud high school, Thamud boys, Balqis girls and Alqiean school, in
Thamud districts in Hadhramout governorate.
