outside of the gut-like muscles, organs, bones, etc

#3 Body Cavities (4 Types) Acoelomate –No gap between the gut and
the mesoderm (ex. Flatworm) Pseudocoelomate-They have a cavity but no
peritonoum lining. Pseudo because it is filled with fluid and partly lined with mesoderm (ex. Roundworm)
Hemocoel-Blood fills the cavity and there is an open circulation system (ex. Insects)
Coelomate-has a distinct peritoneum (lining surrounding the mesoderm) (Ex. Humans)
