A detailed Operator’s Manual was supplied with the Accu-Z. Refer to Operator’s Manual for additional specific information especially information relating to safety concerns. Also included in the Operator’s Manual is important information on operation, adjustment, troubleshooting and maintenance for this attachment (some manual sections do not apply to all options). This procedure requires the mower to be raised and blocked up off the ground. Use only appropriate vehicle stands in pairs with a minimum weight rating of 2,000 pounds. Follow all instructions supplied with the stands. Refer to Figure 1 1. Park mower on a flat surface, set control levers in park brake position, turn ignition switch off and remove ignition key. 2. Disconnect negative battery cable. 3. Raise deck to its highest position. 4. Raise rear of mower and block with certified jack stands. Refer to Figure 37. Remove deck drive belt from electric clutch pulley located at
rear of mower. Do not remove it from deck spindle pulleyslocated at front of deck.

! WARNING!Make certain negative battery cable is disconnected from batterybefore proceeding.
Refer to Figure 48. See important note above. Unplug mower wiring harness
from clutch wiring harness and remove it from mower frame.

clutch until bracket pin will slide out of rubber grommetholding bracket pin in place.

! WARNING!Use extreme caution when inserting a screwdriver into engine flywheelto prevent tooth damage.
Refer to Figure 6 and Figure 710. See warning above. Insert a screwdriver securely into the
flywheel teeth at the engine rear end under its cowling.

Refer to Figure 811. Firmly hold screwdriver against flywheel teeth to prevent
crankshaft from turning while removing electric clutchmounting bolt below.
12. Remove screwdriver from flywheel teeth. Remove electricclutch from engine shaft.

Remove paper backing from one and attache it to one sideof clutch anchor angle as shown. Remove paper backingfrom the other rubber bumper and attach it to the other sideof clutch anchor angle as shown.

NOTE: There are two different versions of the mountingtab located under the mower frame near the engineshaft. The original version has one mounting hole andthe current version has two mounting holes. See figures10 and 11 to determine which mounting tab your mowerhas.

pulleys and stationary idler pulleys. Make certain belt isrouted properly.

Refer to Figure 1315. Coat engine shaft with NEVER SEEZ and slide electric
clutch onto engine shaft. Apply Loctite 242 to clutchmounting bolt threads. Place flat washer on clutch mountingbolt and screw bolt into end of engine crankshaft.
16. Place 1 3/8" thin wrench on clutch mounting flats and hold toprevent crankshaft from turning while applying 45-48 ft. lbs.of torque to clutch mounting bolt. Insert a screwdriver intoflywheel teeth as outlined in step 9 on page 2 to holdcrankshaft from turning if a thin wrench is not available.

through rubber grommet as shown. Rout new harness byfollowing original clutch harness routing. Plug new wiringharness into mower wiring harness.

Refer to Figure 179. Re-tension deck drive belt by pulling on idler chain and
hooking it into its chain joint. Deck idler spring should beextended to 9" +/- 3/8" when tensioned properly withapproximately 5/8" adjustment per chain link.
10. Lower floor pan.
11. Raise mower rear and remove jack stands. Lower mower.
12. Re-connect negative battery cable.
