(b) Article XIII of the Convention records the agreement of

the Contracting Parties· to consult "a.fter the Law of the

Sea Conf'erence and in any case not later than 1976, with a

view to defining the nature and extunt of the right and -

the responsibility of a. coastal state to apply the

Convention in a zone adjacent to its coast" .. There are

other matters which the Contracting Parties may wish to
