Ms. Whitworth has worked in Radian Analytical Services' Water QualityLaboratory since February 1984 as a Chemical Technician. Her job dutiesinclude analysis of water and wastewater by EPA and SM techniques. Sheperforms classical wet chemistry analyses by colorimetric and titrime-tric methods. Physical parameters of dissolved solids and oil and greaseare done gravimetrically. In addition, Ms. Whitworth has gainedproficiency in the following instrumental analyses: Technicon Auto-analyzer II, Beckman 915-B Carbon Analyzer , and Oil and Grease Analysesby IR. Also, secondary area of proficiency include ion chromatography(Dionex Model 16 and Model 2 1 10 i ) , automatic t itrat ion (Metrohm Auto-t itrator) , and TOX (Dohrmann Model 2 0 ) .In addition to her analytical dut ies , Ms. Whitworth performs extensivepreventative maintenance on the equipment:. She is also responsible forthe preparation of chemical standards, analysis reagents, and general labwork.Since beginning work at RAS, Ma. Whitworth has gained experience in theanalysis of cyanides in water and sediments. Due to her expertise incyanide analyses, she is a participant in Radian Analytical Services 'Contract Laboratory Program as a Classical Inorganic Techniques Analyst.Ms. Whitworth'a laboratory experience prior to Radian include environmen-tal analyses for the Lower Colorado River Authority, quantitativeanalysis for uranium mining and milling, and quality control*
