Lead Planning Engineer: Is responsible for directing andparticipating in engineering work related to development of testdocumentation to be used for conduct of complex integr atedreactor and propulsion plant testing and operation. The workassigned is broad in scope requiring considerable independentjudgement. In carrying out assignments the engineer isresponsible for: (1) extensive coordination with related groupsand reactor plant contractors; (2) integration of many differentrequirements within complex plant condition and sequencingconstraints, and; (3) technical direction and work review forassigned engineers and technicians.

Nuclear guality Assurance Engineer, Narc Island Naval Shipyard

Performed inspections and/or tests of mechanical, piping andstructural systems, component parts, or sub-assemblies relatedto naval nuclear propulsion plants. Ensure compliance withspecifications, instructions and regulatory criteria. Performsystem pretest inspections and prepare documentation to allowfinal system certification for reactor mechanical, piping, andstructural systems prior to reactor criticality and poweroperations. Assist discipline engineers in trouble analysis ofappropriate systems. Verification and certification of piping,mechanical and structural systems in association with reactorrefuelings (SSN Seawolf).
