Earthquakes occur because of the plates beneath our feet called tectonic plates and as they rub or bang together they cause an earthquake. If and earthquake is big enough

it can cause and tsunami or volcano to erupt!! If one natural disaster is big enough

then it can cause another to erupt of happen!!

Many earthquakes happen every day, over 100,000 tremors happen everyday and

most of them we cant even feel because they are so small...

The San Andreas fault is one of the biggest fault lines in the world. The San Andreas fault line is a line of pacific and

northern plates clashing together. It goes straight through California and

the United sates. This fault lint it runs for a bout 810 miles ( 1,300

kilometres).The fault line was named by a man called Andrew Lawson. The word San Andreas is named after a some lake witch lies just south of San Francisco.

In New Zealand one of the most beautiful city called Christ Church were a terrible Earthquake hit. It has destroyed a stunning church! In about 1 day 65 people died, and still looking for more bodies. After this Earthquake most of the population in Christ Church were left with no food water, or a place to sleep.

Earth quakes are very dangerous!!!! You never now when its coming !!!!

The most recent earthquake was in Japan when did it happen why did it happen well

It happened March 11th 2011. there had been many earthquakes in Japan but not like this one it had a magnitude of 9.0, and it caused a tsunami and has crashed down buildings and many people were dead.
