Guidance Bureau, exists in the college. The centre has library with

adequate no. of books, CDS on competitive exams which are provided to

Faculty and Research scholars are involved in Research and development while P. G. Students are guided for their research based submission.

(As per point no. 7.3 of AQAR about the best practices during 2013-2014)

7.3.1

To sensitize the students regarding gender equality the college has successfully

organised a variety of programmes under ‘Jagar Janivancha’ (Maharashtra Government

sponsored Inter Collegiate Competition for Gender Sensitization) throughout the year

2013-14.

Under ‘Jagar Janivancha’ the college organised various activities like elocution, essay,

singing, debate competitions, self defence programme, Retail training camps, personality

development camp, Karate classes, Mahil Raj, Communicative skills, Legal Awareness

camps, sickle cell, Thalaessaemia test, value education programme, workshop on

interview techniques, Road Safety rally etc.

For effective implication of Gender Senstization programme the college was awarded by

the District Level First Award (1,00,000 cash, momento and certificate) and University

Level Second Award (1,00,000 cash, momento and certificate) in Jagar Janivancha

competition. College was also awarded by the second District Level Award during 2012-

2013 for the same.

7.3.2

College conducted various activities to sensitize the students regarding road safety

awareness. Elocution, Debate, Slogan contest, Poster Presentation, Road Safety Rally,

External Lectures, street Play, Legal awareness camp, Traffic awareness workshop,

License Survey etc. Consequently, for effective implication of Road Safety Campaign

College was awarded by the State Level Road Safety Award 2013.

7.3.3

To create social awareness among the youth and women the Sociology dept. of college

organised special awareness camps in the remote areas of Armori tahsil.

These camps were held at Dongarsawangi, Deulgaon and Injewari. College students

organised economic/social survey of the villages and through street plays, cultural

programmes. Students threw light on various useless customs and traditions and tried to

create awareness among the villagers. The villagers served food for our students.

7.3.4

To create neighbourhood relationship and promote social responsibility among

students we do take special efforts and give priority to organize various types of activities

according to plan as regular activities of the institution.

Activities of Mahatma Gandhi Centre, Dr. Ambedkar Centre, Road Awareness, Rally,

Health Check-up Camp, PBR (People Biodiversity Register), Gram Safai, Literacy Rally,

Campaign against terrorism, Aids, Blood Donation Camp, Conducting various surveys

by Adult Education and PBR department.

Through these activities the students raised report with the community and fulfil their

social responsibility.
