My bachelor of architecture degree project. I always wanted my home city Nikolaev to become modern and attractive for tourists. The main purpose was to create and design a smooth, balanced form with solid construction inside, which would be a touristic center of the city. I was inspired by Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, designed by Zaha Hadid. Actually, the bionic architecture is not my favorite one. But I was eager to challenge myself in creating a form, which one is the most difficult to be designed.

I`ve always liked monumental architecture. The massive shapes can create the harmonic and delightful rhytm of stone, concrete, glass and wood. In my opinion, such buildings are the best places for people to exist. So, on the fourth course of my studying I`ve decided to make a project of that kind of building. It`s a multifunctional hotel for tourists, which is located in a picturesque mountain area.

Public buildings and sports facilities are places, where a lot of people spend their time, resting after daily routine. So, such kind of buildings should provide comfortable atmosphere and look esthetically outside and inside. It`s a great responsibility to design such kind of buildings, because public buildings have a great influence on the overall appearance of the city. Moreover, architecture has infuence on the mind of citizens, so, it should have pleasant appearance and encourage good feelings.

Designing private houses and small buildings is the most interesting work for me. I`am inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Kahn, Mies van der Rohe, etc. They built not only esthetically marvellous buildings, but comfortable and pleasant to be lived in. I think it`s the main purpose for architecture and for all architects.

In the age of computer graphics, handmade projects become less demanded. But every architect should be able to work in different situations, and not entirely depend on the computer.

Architecture elements and streets The arm of the architect should be an extension of the brain. It should be the main argument in the dispute, the tool, which helps to materialize thoughts, ideas and concepts. Drawing is the best way to reach and find the form of the future architecture object. The more you draw and improve your skills, the better result in finding unique forms you get.

The best way to reach the level of the great masters is to learn and analyze their work. I was always inspired by the works of architects of 20th century and by modern CG artists. Their pictures, produced for the computer games, contain a lot of unique architecture ideas, marvellous forms, etc. Serfing the net, expanding your knowledge, watching, how the architects build all over the world- is the best way to become better. And improving yourself should become an endless process and your lifestyle.
