Class Summary The goal of this class is to show how engineers and architects

can collaborate working on steel structures in the same BIM model without losing important information and saving time.

TecnoMETAL and TecnoCAM from Steel&Graphics implement a solution for design and fabrication of steel structures

You will learn how you can use TecnoMETAL with Autodesk® Revit® software to model details and prepare fabrication information.

The direct integration between Autodesk® Revit® Structure and TecnoMETAL makes possible to complete the BIM process when working on steel structures, from concept to fabrication to construction.

Learning ObjectivesAt the end of this class, you will be able to:

Export 3D Model from Autodesk® Revit® Structure to TecnoMETAL

Insert typical steel structure elements in TecnoMETAL: joints, bracing, stairs, …

Analyze the model with solver (ie. SAP2000®)

Export steel structure with detailing from TecnoMETAL back to Autodesk® Revit® Structure

Generate Sub-Assembly, Marks, Material List and CAM File in TecnoMETAL

Manage all manufacturing process in TecnoCAM

Export 3D Model and fabrication information to Autodesk® Navisworks®
