together some of the world’s biggest acts stretching from sea to shining sea. This year’s legion of lineups is

no exception — there’s even a Beatle involved! From empty fields to large

cities, there’s a festival for everyone. Plan ahead using this guide and

LollapaloozaLocation: Chicago, Ill.

What To Expect: One of the largest festivals, the annual weekend

is always chock-full of the biggest artists. While no official lineup an-

nouncement has been made, a Twit-ter leak has listed the above artists as well as others including Mumford and Sons, and Kendrick Lamar. Regard-

less of the spoilers, the lineup is sure to have major star power.

Wanee Music Festival

Location: Live Oak, Fla.Dates: April 18-20

Headliners: The Allman Brothers Band, The Yeti Trio

What To Expect: The bluesy, folksy lineup is perfect for laid-back

music fans. Located at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, patrons can

camp out and jam out simultaneously.

CoachellaLocation: Indio, Calif.

Dates: April 12-14, April 19-21Headliners: Phoenix, Red Hot Chili

hosts a variety of artists, from Blur to Baauer. Concert-goers can even camp out in the area for the weekend. Last

year, Coachella blew minds with a holo-graphic Tupac performance. This year will

hopefully be just as epic.

tion of the annual entertainment festival is part panels and part performances. By day, people from all aspects of the music industry meet and discuss the business.

By night, more than 100 bands perform at a number of venues. This year, Dave Grohl

is the keynote speaker.

Ultra Music Festival

Location: Miami, Fla.Dates: March 15-17, March 22-24

Headliners: Deadmau5, Calvin Har-ris, Bassnectar

What To Expect: The annual electronic music festival is two weekends

worth of dance and trance. Audiences interested in DJs and dance beats are

sure to enjoy either weekend. Pitchfork Music Festival

Location: Chicago, Ill.Dates: July 19-21

Headliners: R. Kelly, Belle and Sebastian, Bjork

What To Expect: This lineup focuses mainly on alternative rock and rap artists. The event, which kicked off its yearly stint in 2005, will announce the other artists in the coming weeks.

Governors Ball Music Festival

Location: New York, N.Y.Dates: June 7 - 9

Headliners: Kanye West, Kings of Leon, Guns N’ Roses

What To Expect: Summertime in the city is always a variety of things

— hot, humid and full of entertainment! This festival, which also includes a

mass of bands like Young the Giant and The Lumineers, brings the best of the

genres to the Big Apple.

Electric Daisy Carnival

Location: Las Vegas, Nev.Dates:June 21-23

“nightclub and dayclub events,” among other things, the Carnival includes more than 100 musical acts and more than 500 theatrical performers. The lights
