The next steps

Practice Analysis: Research process to determine the certification test

specifications, including domains and relative weightings, test formats and

delivery mechanisms (November 2019)

Standards Setting: Standard setting process overseen by NIGP’s testing

and measurement contractor to establish a passing score (February 2020)

Test Administration: Develop test questions under the guidance of

NIGP’s contracted testing and measurement specialists (February 2020)

The NIGP-CPP Becomes Available Late Spring 2020

Foundation Courses: Continuing to prepare candidates for UPPCC

Certification; coursework aligns with the UPPCC Body of Knowledge

UPPCC Candidates: Continue to seek certification. CPPO and CPPB
