WORLDWIDE BAPTIST MISSIONARY PARTNERSHIP

These churches are praying and joining efforts to create a worldwide missionary ministry:

A. Reasons for Worldwide Baptist Missionary Partnership:

• We believe that “mission” is the work of God to bring the humankind back to Him. We see this soon after the fall of Adam and Eve in Genesis 3, and through the entire Bible; being the incarnation, ministry, death and resurrection of Christ the supreme expression of the mission of God (John 3:16-18).

2. We believe that in this dispensation the local churches are the agencies of God to accomplish His mission. So, each local church must be involved in the mission of God for His glory (Luke 15:7,10; Romans 15:7). By doing “missions”, each local church obeys the Great Commission of Our Savior to make disciples unto the uttermost part of the earth (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Luke 24:45-58; John 20:21; Acts 1:8).

3. Over the years, by the grace of God, several Independent Baptist churches in Peru are planting churches, but very few of them are planting MISSIONARY churches. It means that very few churches put in the hearts of the new believers, from the very beginning, that the new church must be a self-propagating church.

4. Most of the churches involved in doing missions, are focused only on Peru. There are very few churches which are praying and supporting Peruvian missionaries who are outside of Peru.

5. We see weakness when churches try to join efforts for missions because most of the churches just are self-supporting churches. Hundreds of churches do not pay to their pastors; and other churches pay in such level that their pastors have to work out of the ministry to provide for their families.
