What were the effects of Chemical Warfare
used by Germany
Germany had developed the Gas (chemical warfare) to use on the enemy. So that they would be defenseless once hit and not use as many troops to kill them with chemicals.
Who
That was so that the enemy would be weakened or all so that they may win the battle.
The germens Devolved the gasses and used it on the opposing force killing many people. Also it caused great mental distress.
What
It caused many deaths and wounded many making many traumatized.
Second Battle of Ypres in 1915 April 22 a fight over territory.
When
Western Belgium strategic Flemish town of Ypres.
Where
Every country needs some sort of advantage this was theirs. Also it was to take over control over Ypres.
Why
The wind controlled the gas so there was risk of it coming back or effecting both sides.
Risks
The use of gas led to the mask that would filter the poison out and make it safe to take breaths.
The Germans were coming up with new gases faster then the new masks could be developed. In the end they found a mask that did most of the gases.

Not all numbers are known to how many died because they labeled them other before a category was given.

The effects were burns and blisters made by mustard gas as well as just gas that killed the first kind used that started them off was chlorine gas.
It trued the solider it created mental panic that made people crazy.
It created burns that would not go away some gases could not take effect without killing for hours.
