People start to make wine out of grape juice,

since 6000BC

Initially, wine is just a kind of basic everyday beverage.

Now, wine is collectable.

Introduction

The Ancient Greeks and Romans discovered

the potential of aged wines.

Now people collect wine as personal interests or investment.

Why is wine collectable

Master of Wine Jancis Robinson notes that only around the top 10% of all red wine, and top 5% of all white wines, are good for aging

Wine is able to improve its quality by itself

through aging.

Fine wines has been storaged for decades, not just to improve the taste, it also kept the cultural background with it.

Cork introduced in 17th century, wine could

last much longer in bottle.

In 1851, The first Hospices de Beaune wine auction has been held in Bugendy.

November 2010, the most expensive bottle of wine has been sold for £192,000 ($304,375).
